Aiphone IER-2 Chime Extension Speaker

This extension is easy to wire up to an Aiphone intercom system and is worth having if you need coverage away from your station. We mounted two in our office, one in the warehouse where the chime can be heard but it is not as loud as I'd like. The other in the office space is plenty loud at the middle setting (there are 3, low medium, and high).A couple of notes, the screws that come with it are pretty crummy steel and overly long. They stripped fairly easily going into plastic LV boxes due to the friction fit. It's not a big knock, most included fastners are easy to strip with a decent hardened driver. I replaced them with some crown bolt screws and that solved my aesthetic issue.Note, it plays the same chime as your base does.

Easy to add in to existing of master. I’d buy it again. Installed it out doors under an overhang with no issues. Installed over 2 months during a very rainy period. Not sure if it is water proof but definitely water resistant.

We were frustrated specially when we were in the back computer room and when anyone would ring the front door bell we could never hear the sound. Many a times we missed few of our friends who thought no one was home and left.Finally I got the chime extension and now we do not miss any visitors. The installation was a breeze and we are very happy with the product.We have if for few months and have no problems.Would recommend specially to those who cannot hear the door bell in remote areas of the house.

Easy to install and connect, works exactly as advertised. I have mine connected to two separate Aiphone video monitor/doorbell units mounted on outside gates. Both pushbuttons activate this remote bell when pressed (separately).

Added this product to an existing Aiphone system. Works well and can be heard easily by staff but unobtrusive to the office environment. Volume select switch is nice little feature.
