AiphoneCorporation JOS-1F Box Set for JO Series, Hands-Free Video Intercom

Used for an intercom for a trucking company. Replaced a cheaper unit that was hard to hear. This product is better and seems more rugged.

The easiest intercom to install no software needed or testers and i used Cat5e even though it recommends not to , it worked just fine , I can't tell if the picture quality is the same but it looks great .

This unit is a great value. It works as well as more expensive units and is very easy to install. I would recommend this product.

Electronically the unit works quite well though the audio is rather low even on the high position. The low quality stainless steel faceplate is already showing spots of rust as is the optional stainless enclosure box. High quality aircraft quality stainless steel should have been used. Like the enclosure box, I'm going to have to sand and paint the faceplate to preserve it's integrity and appearance. What an utter disappointment this so called rust free stainless steel construction has been. High quality stainless does not rust after a few weeks of outdoor exposure. To save a few cents they opted to use a lower quality material. Admittedly, I'm pretty angry about this preventable, cosmetic failure of the intercom.
