First of all, I purchased this as a gift for a friend. We recently were on vacation and lost power due to hurricane Patricia. This was prior to my friends birthday so we were wishing we had something to charge phones, ipad etc. and I thought it ironic that I had this item sitting at home waiting for my friends birthday. Needless to say there was one reason we could have used this little jewel.So, we get back home and all is well. About a week after the birthday I go out to get in my van and the van won't start! Not good... I call my friend who has by now charged this starter and we connect it to the battery and the van starts right up. We were amazed! I hate to admit that it was a weekend (how do cars, kids and dogs always wait till the weekend to need something?). So by Monday morning my friend and I had to jump the van two more times without charging the starter. All I can say is that it was pretty darned amazing!I learned a couple of things about the starter, one, it appears that size doesn't matter if this little thing can jump a van! Second, do not count on understanding the teeny directions that come with this starter. Obviously they were written by someone who doesn't speak English. However, we were able to figure it out and not being very technically inclined it wasn't all that bad. We were more worried about shocks or exploding the battery, luckily neither one happened.I know we haven't even tried all the wonderful things that this starter can do - haven't charged a phone or anything else yet. It comes with just about every connector you would need from the lightening, to the 16 pin connector so no need to carry all that stuff with you when you travel. We will not travel without this jewel - and it comes in a great case so it's easy to tote.

For obscure reasons I maintain a fleet of various dilapidated vehicles--and as a result, I frequently have to jump start them. I have used the Maxmade on Ford 4.6, Isuzu 2.6, Toyota 1.8 and Volvo 2.3 engines, and it has always worked well; it should be noted that these starts were in mild weather. Fully charged, this device can jump start vehicles quite a few times. The attachments that enable this device to also power all sorts of other devices, whether PC laptops, Crapple devices, USB, micro-USB, et cetera, are also very useful. The Maxmade recharged my poor friend's Crapple phone quite quickly, and another time, another of my unfortunate techno-serf friends was able to work on his Crapple laptop for hours as we drove from SF to LA. So this is a very useful device to have; however, I don't know how long it will last, and I must note that the case it comes with is a flimsy piece of junk that broke at the very first hint of provocation--the plastic piano-style hinges sheared off completely.

I purchased this a little less than a month ago. All I've done is charge my cell phone to at least try out the capacity of the unit. I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 which has about a 2500 mAh battery. The Maxmade could only charge it 2 1/2 times before it was out of power. Even after several charge/discharge cycles of the Maxmade, the capacity did not increase. Also, it would take between 6-7 hours to charge my phone charging only at about 400 mAh - very slow. I am returning the product. I was hoping for a good product, but the item I received didn't perform even close to its rated capacity. Even though I did not use it to jump start my car/truck, based on my experience with it I would not keep it beyond the return date, hoping it would start my vehicle if I needed it to do so. I also noticed some of the good reviews were nothing more than posters acknowledging the product specifications. That isn't a "product review."

I started my car normally, went to the grocery store, bought a bunch of frozen foods, went out to my car and nothing. I guess I lost a cell or two in the battery right at that moment and was stuck. I left my phone at home because it was a quick trip to the store and I "didn't need it", I didn't have battery cables in the car because "who needs them now?"... So I sat there in the parking lot for an hour asking every single person that drove up until I finally found someone with a 20+ year old car that actually DID carry cables and he got me started and home. Never again. Everything breaks eventually and next time my battery does, I will NOT be without options. I WILL get home on MY terms. I'm thrilled.

Bought this for my brothers birthday and he LOVES it. It gets used daily by his family for keeping devices charged in the car. This one is made very well and the attachments are nice. He told me he was able to jumpstart his friends old Mercedes with a big engine that normally requires a V-8 to do the jump. The guy laughed at him when he pulled it out but was super shocked it worked and pledged to buy one immediately.

Awesome utility! I purchased this for it's jump starting capability as i knew my battery was running low after the harsh winter and just in time i might add. I was able to jump start my car a few times without charging. I also was able to take advantage of the usb charging capability after my phone died. it's also very compact and everything is very organized in this small case. Was a great investment, i would recommend to anyone.

I really wasn't sure if this would work, but right after I received the unit, I charged it up and took it out to my old GMC van with a totally dead battery. Hooked it up, and about 15 seconds later, vrooom! Started right up like it had a new battery. Simply amazing! If it can start my old van, it can start anything, I have a wife, 2 teenage daughters, and 3 cars to maintain - this little charger makes my life easier.

Everything appears to work well. I haven't figured out how or when the red LED lights come on but I'm guessing they turn in when you're actually jumping a battery. Although I haven't used it, it seems pretty solid and the price was good for the amperage and higher capacity.
