Poor packaging causes it to not work well
The product itself would work great except that they package it rolled up so when it comes out of the package it' curved and in order to work accurately it needs to be completely straight. I spent over an hour trying to straighten it out enough so I could use it. Perhaps laying it on a flat service with a heavy item over the top for an extended period of time would work but honestly I don't feel I should have to do that in order to use the product.

Since having a child, a number of things need fixing or repairing in our home. Our sink drain was clogged, I bought drain un-clogger, it did very little. I plungered it, did all kinds of things. Bought this little doodad, not knowing what to expect, pushes it down our drain and pulled up hair and, a piece of washcloth, which I wasn't expecting at all. Clogs, over.Just be careful when handling this. It's sharp and can cut you.

It fixed our problem, but as others mentioned here when my husband was using it and he was pulling it out, since it was coiled it literally sprayed goo on him and the walls, it was disgusting. But we are both guys so we moved on and cleaned things up.So, it did the job and it did it well, but it was messy.

Garbage
It broke in half first use. Another problem is the product isn't straight its swirled around so you can't just stick it in the drain, you have to straighten it out while putting it in which sucks. If you have a tub with the built in hair catcher it really sucks putting it in and out of it cause it just gets caught by the teeth. I'll be sending it back. Thank god for Amazon.

Like all the other reviews said, it was coiled. Once I finally flattened it out, it pulled out hair of my shower drain all right. It snapped after. Now I'm pulling my hair out for wasting $5 down the drain. Har har

This is too wide to go down and easily come up with out splashing you in the face for standard size drains in bath tubs. If they made it more of a tubular shape and reduced the spike size and utilized a more elastic plastic material, it would be perfect

This product really does clear the drain, but beware ...
This product really does clear the drain, but beware it pulls out some nasty stuff and then you have to figure out how to get that stuff off the tool. Have paper towels handy!

Stiff and hard to get down the drain
The plastic is really stiff and it is hard to get Down the drain because it is rolled up. Even laying it out of the package for a few days didn't help.
