Great harness!
Size: I bought a size small for my 16 pound yorkie, who has a neck measurement of about 11.5 inches, and chest about 14. I used the measuring chart. According to their chart, he could’ve fit an xs or small. I chose the small, and wish I would’ve ordered the xs. I will be keeping it because it does fit, but the straps from tightening are flopping around, and the xs would’ve probably looked better and functioned better. If you’re overlapping in measurements, I definitely think the smaller of the two sizes is the way to go. It’s a beautiful color, and came exactly as advertised. It’s slightly stiff, but does not my bother dog. He is comfortable in it and has no issue moving as normal. It’s very well made and sturdy, which is where the stiffness and firmness come in. My dog likes to think he’s much more big than he is, and tries to drag me on walks the entire time. I got this harness for the no-pull, so that we can lengthen our walks since he wears himself out trying to drag me, not because he lunges or is hard to control (he’s small lol). So the no-pull feature works perfectly for him. I can definitely see us continuing to purchase this brand.

Fits Well And Easy To Put On And Take Off
Looks just like the picture and is very good quality. My dog is medium sized with a 25 inch chest circumference and I got him a large and it fits him well. It's easy to put on and take off and doesn't move around too much when he's wearing it. Looks well made and like it will last a long time and the blue and green colors are very bright and vibrant. The fabric is like a canvas so it's matte and not shiny and has stayed clean after a few months of wear.

Nice harness for my pulling pooch
I got my dog in November and purchased the Ruffwear harness. It's a nice harness, but the leash attachment at the neck is plastic and the leash attachment on her back was metal, but the canvas loop that it was attached to shredded from Flicka pulling during walks. The Phoepet 2019 has metal attachments on both the neck and back, though the metal rings also attach with a canvas material so time will tell how long they last. However, the fit of the Phoepet 2019 is better and I like that I don't have to put it on over her head which was a struggle at times with the Ruffwear harness. I also like that the Phoepet 2019 has an extra layer of material lining for comfort and it looks sharp! (I got the black one with the red lining). I also liked the price - the Phoepet 2019 is half the price of the Ruffwear harness so even if the Phoepet also lasts only 7 months, at least I didn't spend as much. The only criticism I have so far is that the neck leash attachment is lower so when she pulls, the harness twists to the side a bit. My dog weighs about 35-40 lbs (of pure muscle), has about an 18 inch neck and 25 inch chest & I bought the medium which fits well.

Durable and reliable
I have a very hyper pitbull mix who wants to run for every walk. He’s had this harness since 2024 and it still holds. Great buy and great quality product.

Love this!
I love Border Collies and have raised and trained many. I have a lot of experience at restraining these little Houdinis! We have a Border Collie puppy, 4 mos. old. This is a perfect size for her (XS). It has two places to connect to the leash. The one on top is the standard. The one on the chest pulls her around to face me if she tries to bound ahead to take ME for a walk. It fits snugly enough that she can't back out of it nor does it chafe her anywhere. She can't turn and chew it. We leave it on 24/7 right now with a short leash to step on when we have her wait but she runs. It has plenty of extension strap as she gets larger but by 40 lbs, she will need a medium. The colors are great- the red and teal really stand out against her black and white fur in the daylight and the 'fluorescent' reflecting trim really does highlight her for traffic at night. It's well made. Better than any of the others I've examined or tried to use This is the harness you NEED for that little rascal! When we size up, we'll replace this with a larger one...probably a medium with straps snugged down. First edit: Baby girl has grown fast. I reordered both the small and medium sized to get a correct fit. The small fit most accurately at 6 mos. What made the difference was the LENGTH of each of the three (between the neck and chest.) The weight of the buckles played a part, too. Going by the parents' size, she'll be about 35 lbs full grown and the small may well still fit for circumference, but again, the length may come into play. Each size becomes more substantial with the straps and buckles. We'll keep the medium to use down the road. I really, really dislike collars. The head jerking against the spine is just not safe for some dogs. 6 mos: At 25 lbs, small still fits. 9 mos: switching to medium. Tightened as much as possible, it is a bit slack but the small is pulling against her front legs. 1 year old now. 30 lbs. Long and lean. A medium fits well now and has enough strap left to lengthen as she fills out. I think the medium is as large as she will need. Something I hadn't mentioned is the loop on the back has been very useful for a quick grab when she was younger or working with "sit" vs. "lie down." Another point is it can be thrown in the washer with dog towels after a bath so it doesn't get that horrible smell that leather gets. Our very sweet girl is two years old now and completely filled out. Her chest is deeper and her ribs and neck full with border collie hair. She's 35 lbs and much more attentive to our directions. We still prefer to use the harness as does our girl. She's always delighted when she sees us get it out as a fun walk is coming. The medium is all she's going to need. We've had to loosen the straps somewhat but really, it's perfect for our girl. Male border collies do get deeper chests and thicker necks but I still think a medium will be enough as the straps adjust significantly. If you have a full sized working male, 50 lbs or so, it's possible that the medium's back length may not be long enough and you'd need a large. As she's grown stronger and heavier, I really appreciate the ring on her chest. When she starts to pull suddenly (as puppies do) the dynamics of the lower ring swings her around to face me. Ya jus' gotta laugh at her expression! The plastic clips haven't caused any problems and the webbing and stitching stayed strong and dependable. I hope you enjoy this harness a much as we have!

quality!!
this harness is amazing! I have an 8yr old Australian shepherd named Sadie. she's 44lbs, I was debating on getting a large but I am so glad I got a medium. it fits perfectly I didn't even have to adjust it (which i am not sure how to do yet LOL) I can tell she loves the harness too, it's thick, good quality feels very durable. the cute colors are just a plus for my sassy spunky girl. 10/10 recommend!!

Not for my dog,
The harness seems to be well made of sturdy materials. My dog has a 16" chest so I ordered the medium. It's way too big. In my opinion the materials it's made of is too stiff for my little guy.

Great quality
Just received but is really good quality. We have been looking for a harness with a buckle by the head and we’re so glad to find this one. They are hard to come by or are really expensive. This was a great find at an awesome price range. We have a 40-45 pound dog and the large fits well. It is highly adjustable.

Love it
I love it. The buckles are abit hard to undo, but they seem very strong and durable at least. Fits well and is super cute. Love the high-vis strips for at night.

Shipped a known faulty product
Product was shipped with a known defect from the manufacturer, product was stitched incorrectly causing the harness to be unusable. This was shipped by the seller who knew it was faulty as the packaging it was shipped in had an Amazon customer returns sticker on it from a previous purchaser of the same faulted product. Terrible customer service from the seller to sell and ship a known faulty product
