SteelSeries The Sims 4 Laser Gaming Mouse

When I first heard about SteelSeries' line of peripherals for the launch of The Sims 4, I got quite excited as I am a huge Sims fan, and found the gaming mouse and headset to be ultimately a must-have for me. I'm proud to state that I am not disappointed. The Sims 4 laser gaming mouse from SteelSeries is quite literally, perfect, especially if you're a Sims fan; if you aren't, there's not much of a point to getting it unless you just really want a mouse with a glowing diamond that changes colours.The mouse is programmed for complete functionality with The Sims 4 to the point where as your Sims express different emotions (happy, sad, angry, embarrassed, energised, etc.) with corresponding colours, the mouse's diamond, or Plumbob, rather, glows in the colours to reflect your Sims' emotions. So when my Sim is happy, his mood colour is green and the mouse reflects that. Even when they're sleeping, the colour will be a deep blue-ish purple and the same colour shows on the mouse. It's quite lovely, really. In addition, the glowing Plumbob is actually a button in itself; clicking on it while playing The Sims 4 will actually centre the camera on the active Sim, in case you lose track of him or her. It's essentially the equivalent of clicking on the Sim's portrait, which does the same thing.The colours are not just for The Sims 4, either. You can download software from SteelSeries' website that allows you to program both the mouse and the headset for similar functionality outside of the game. By default, the Plumbob glows green, but you can make it change colour when using a certain program, playing a specific game, or just in general and even have it cycle through different colours.SteelSeries has it listed at $29.99 for the gaming mouse, so I definitely recommend picking it up from their official website and not a third party, as it seems Amazon itself no longer carries the product and some people are charging more than SteelSeries for their own product and that's a bit of a rip off.It's ultimate a must own product for any die-hard Sims fan or anyone who's looking for a good, quality computer mouse. It's easy to set up (just plug in and use) and it's quite light, agile, tactile and responsive. Essentially, you get what you pay for and then some.

Only been using this mouse a few days thus far, but I really love it. I deduct a star because it does not come in wireless - personally, I just don't think that is even okay in this day and age. But, I did purchase it anyway because I love The Sims and I wanted the other features - which, so far for me, are working great. If you aren't planning to use this with The Sims, though, then there's not much point. But, awesome!

Great mouse! I’m from Canada and Amazon.ca is out of stock so I ordered from here. It arrived super fast. It’s in great shape, no marks and is fully functional. I play all types of games: Sims, MOBAs, MMOs, strategy...etc. I love that it lights up for the moods of my Sims and that I can change the colouring and patterns for other games as well. It moves smoothly and fits perfectly in my hand. My husband actually used this mouse first as I had misplaced my laptop. He did not want to part with it when I took it back. If you don’t like or play the Sims 4 then it’s not going to be worth it to you, you’d be better off getting a different version. It will work obviously but for the same cost you can get a mouse with a different theme and coloration. Steel Series has different versions of the same type of mouse so definitely give them a look.Overall I’m very happy with this mouse. It was a very nice birthday gift from my boys.

I'm a huge Sims fan so I bought this mouse along with the headset and mousepad. It is plug and play and the set up with the SteelSeries engine was super simple. I love the fact that like the headset, the mouse's Plumbob changes colors to reflect your sim's emotions in game. It's also very responsive. The only thing that I don't care for is that the clicking of the mouse is louder than I would like for it to be but overall I really like the mouse. It should be added to any true fan's sim collection!

The seller of this product gets 5 stars for its quick processing and delivery. The product itself is okay. I say this because of the following:THERE WERE NO INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED WITH THE MOUSE!!!!The mouse has the basic mouse buttons plus 2 buttons on the left side, and a Plumbob button on the top. The Plumbob and the scroll button light up. It has a smooth and steady scroll. Because there were no instructions included with the product and online support was useless (there was no online users guide, and 20 pages of FAQ, none of them addressed the product). I can only give this product 3 stars and the only reason I am giving it 3 stars is because of the size and smooth scroll and movement.If anyone out there has instructions or know where I can find instruction on how to use the mouse, please let me know. I will be more that happy to re-review the product once I have instruction on how to properly use it. Until then I cannot recommend this product to anyone.Can anyone out there help me?

I am a typical fps gamer. I mostly play CS-GO and other fps stuff(battlefield,cod, etc). As my previous Asus mouse was dying due to extensive use..I went for an Gaming Mouse hunt..I was going to order Logitech's G302, I saw this for 1700rs and instantly bought this due to its price, brand value and looks. Got it on the next day(prime!).The Mouse looks amazing because of its plumbob button which can be configured and it lights up in 16.7 million RGB Colors configurable in its easy to use and light software. Playing CS-GO is a breeze with it. It's software has a feature called 'GameSense' which is available in CS-GO and also you can configure your own game in the software. In CS-GO the lighting is green when my health is about 80-100, it becomes yellowish-orange when it 50-70 and in critical health it becomes red. But to enjoy this feature you'll have to enable it in the software. It is having a laser sensor(more accurate than optical) having 1600cpi and 500hz polling rate giving it an outstanding 2ms latency. Moreover, Cpi and polling rate is configurable in the software. The mouse is way more better in tracking than those office mouses or those cheap gaming mices.The Sims 4 branding is just a cherry on top. The Plumbob changes color according to the Sim's mood(amazing!). But it can also be set to colorshift while using the mouse in normal OS or while playing non GameSense games to give awesome lighting experience. The Clicks are a perfect balance of tightness and tactility. Scroll steps are well differentiated and defined. The white colour with glossy good quality plastic gives it a nice look. The mouse is also comfortable for medium to large hands. Definitely, it's a killer mouse

It's a well built Steelseries mouse that resembles the classic old Microsoft Intellimouse (apart from the lights). It also comes with software for running macros and things in games (not just The Sims 4!), if you want it to do that. I don't care about The Sims 4, I've never played it. But this is a very good mouse at a very good price. I've been using this mouse every day for closing in on a year - including playing some clickers (don't judge me!) - and it's still good as new, the buttons haven't gone squishy, the plastic is not worn, nor oily.The lights are bright, and a tad annoying. But it's not like I look at my hands that often anyway.

il mouse funziona molto bene anche se non c'è alcuna differenza con quelli normali classici, l'unica differenza è il simbolo di the sims che rimane illuminato quando lo si usa e si spenge quando si scollega o si spenge il pc.
