The Item is very well built and has a great Cable attachment. It takes a little while to get used to the locking and unlocking mechanism, but once you learn it, it gets easier. I would say it is well worth the money.

I had no problem with the locking mechanism like others reported. The box is heavier than expected and the top over laps the bottom which makes me feel it is a little more secure. The included cable was plenty long enough. I would have liked it to have fitted under the front of my car seat but it didn’t because of the electrical motors. Gives me more peace of mind rather than locking it in a plastic glove compartment for a temporary place to store things.

I found this to be a very quality case. I purposefully bought it for a flight. I successfully packed a S&W Shield 9mm, Glock 17, pocket knife and a mag for each inside the safe. The ammo was in a little plastic box and elsewhere in the suitcase.The 3 point design is much nicer and more secure than a standard, single, hook style lock at the front of the case, that you normally would see with something like this. The 3 point design creates nice tight seams all the way around that help prevent prying. The hinge is quality and I have no concerns about it failing.When planning, consider that the TriPoint system takes up some of the interior space. you will not have the full width of the case to work with toward the front. It is also well made, which means it's pretty heavy. If bordering on whether you would meet a weight limit on a bag, this could put you over the threshold, especially when loaded out. I will attempt to update this review with load-out photos and an un-packed weight, for reference.The key is a cylinder style and small. Easily attached to a key right without being bulky. Comes with a locking cable, which lays in a little notch that secures when closing the lid. I think this could have been thought out a little better. It worked very well when attaching to the frame of my suitcase, but when you pop the case for TSA, you have to fumble with the cord and get it back in place before locking it back up.I plan to use this in my vehicle for day-to-day. Probably too tall and big to fit well under most modern, electric seats. Definitely not going in a glove box or center console and much more of a "transport" case than a rapid deployment safe.

I looked at a number of different car safes. This one seemed to be the sturdiest of this class. It’s heavier gage than most and has a heavier tether. Nothing will stop a determined thief with tools and a little time, but for the money this is a good option.

This is truly a solid lock box, sturdy and tough. Rest assured no kid is going to pry this open. The key action moves smoothly and engages the tabs without any hassle. The 3 point locking system was a huge selling point for me. Each point greatly magnifies the strength of the locking ability.What's preventing me from loving this/5 starring-it is there's a little play in the lid when locked, you can pull it apart just enough to get a flat head screwdriver in there and go to work. You would need a beefy industrial screwdriver to start and more tools/time to finish, but it's a starting point.The other minor issue I have is inside the box you can actually see the locking system covered in a red plastic cover. Having this exposed is not an ideal spot to have the gun as it could scratch when being moved or traveling (despite having a thin layer of foam there).*Pro tip: Inside the product box there is a foam insert to prevent the box from moving in the packaging, I cut that to fit over the red plastic cover. This allows the entire box to be padded, top and bottom.As others mentioned the cable is weak and basically useless. I would mod the box and get a thicker cable if I was to tether it in the future.I added a photo of my current configuration: M&P Shield 9mm with extended mag, flush mag, flashlight and pocket knife. The locks need some space when closing the lid so I move everything in just a tad and it closes fine. It's really the ideal size as any bigger and it would be unwieldy, it takes quiet a bit of strength to cup this in one hand when full.All in all I'm very happy with the product, especially given the price point. This box is heavy duty and secure enough to buy me time while I search and save for a quality safe. It can be hidden in a lot of places plus having the ability to tether it gives it a lot of versatility. I recommend it.

It does what a lock box should do, well made and sturdy..and it was the right size for the car.

I bought it for my car and, so far, it is perfect. Seems to be very solid. Locking system is adequate. Cable attachment is very good. Not the Lock Box' fault, but I had to secure it in place with some bungy cords to cut down on the noise of it rattling around in my spare compartment.

I was looking for a shotgun quick access safe like the ShotLock Shotgun 200E Solo-Vault. I could not find one on my budget. This lock box had the correct dimensions I needed and I modified it to accommodate my shotgun. I don't have a picture of it but It fit perfectly. The box is constructed of heavy gauge steel and the locking mechanism inside the box has two locking points. The lower section of the box has an inside lip that fits into the top lid when closed. The lip is all around the bottom edge so the alignment is perfectly held in place when closed Once closed the top will not move and is firmly held in place.The box has pre-drilled holes to bolt it to any surface and there is a cable lanyard that you can use to secure it to another object. The only down side to this box is key operated. I was looking for a simplex system but none had a good reviews. I highly recommend this box for your security needs.

This safe/vault is very solid and seems well made. The triPoint locking mechanism is very secure and the coated aircraft cable secures the box to whatever you choose. In my opinion you cannot beat this safe/vault for the price. It is a very good buy.

Bought this small safe/vault to store a few items inside for safe keeping. It seems very secure. It was made to store a small handgun in, so that makes it fairly secure. Hinge appears to be tamper proof. It is nicely padded inside to stop valuables from sliding around. It states it has a tri point locking system. It has 2 locking points on each side plus the key so I’m assuming that it why it says tri point locking. It appears it would be very difficult to get into. Has a vinyl coated hardened stainless steel securing cable which looks like it would be hard to cut. Overall, for the price I think it is a good purchase for storing smaller items etc in. The company is known for providing good products. Giving it a 4 star now to see how it goes and will review again for updates on it after I have it for a bit.
