This time we find Alan Christoffersen in the midst of another personal crisis that threatens his journey across the country to Key West. Alan is joined by those he needs most but circumstances and emotions get in the way and he eventually returns alone to continue his Walk. Alan heads from St. Louis through the deep South tasting the culture and amazing food along the way. He meets some very interesting people including a woman tied to a tree that leads to an encounter with a "religion" that is out of this world he never expected. All of them have Alan pondering what he really needs and wants most. When Alan comes to the realization about what to do, he hits another speed bump in his path. Like many of Richard Paul Evans fans I could not wait for this book to come out. I really enjoyed reading it and found it impossible to put down. Mr. Evans is an incredible storyteller and this book is the best one of this series yet! Now begins the agonizing wait for the final part of this incredible adventure due out next year. "The Walk" series puts readers through an emotional wringer and we are better for the ride. It started out with "The Walk" and now after many "Miles to Go" down "The Road to Grace" take "A Step of Faith" and join the journey. Life's road will never look the same. Review: Soul-searching - I have been "hooked" on this series since I read Book 1. In fact, my husband and I are booked to go on the Key West Cruise, a celebration to end the Walk series. The book started with the same intensity which it ended. I wanted to know how the brain tumor would complicate Alan's plans and now I can't wait to find out another complication and its possible impact on Alan. There were so many interesting characters in this book. Each one could be the centerpiece of a story on their own. The cult is dynamic, gave me chills. Dustin was interesting! I enjoyed the descriptions of his meals, complementing the journey and the towns he was in. I think you need to read this book with the right frame of mind and go with the flow that RPE intended. Nicole or Falene? where will Alan find his peace? and will he go back to Seattle and get a Waffle House Franchise? I am excited about reading the conclusion and before I go on the cruise I will reread the books in order so I can discuss the journey with all the other Walk fans. Thank you, RPE, for another good book.

inspirational and a good read
this series being read by our book club. The first of the series "the walk," well, I was reticent to begin. once I did I quickly found the other volumes and read the whole series - in almost 3 sittings. The books are quick reading but pack a punch on the messages sent. The storyline centers around a man who lost literally everything he had in his life. this series carries one through the journey from beginning to end. It taught me how circumstances will shape you and your beliefs and faith in others while shaping an individual to know the great value of non-material things and the extreme value of principles, forgiveness and others' love and friendship to that individual.

4th book in the walk series
"A Walk of Faith" is the forth book in the walk series. I have found this series of books relaxing and inspiring. I have read the last couple on my kindle paperwhite. I was not keeping track of the page number and before I knew it "A walk of Faith" was at it's cliff hanging ending. Now that I have read the four novels, I think that Mr. Evans could have made these four novels into two, with one more to go. I guess it is about that almighty commerce though. Don't get me wrong, I really loved the stories, and still do, that is just my opinion. I had to laugh at the man he met when he reached Florida. I live in Florida and believe it or not, we all do not cling to our guns and bibles- well not all the time anyway. I still highly recommend the walk series- it is a great journey of hope, love and faith. It has made me take a closer look at my own life. "A Road to Grace" -- This is the third book in the walk series. "A Road to Grace" is an astounding journey of a man named Alan Christoffersen sets off on.. After loosing his wife to a horse back riding accident, then his business, house and cars he decides to sell what is left of his belongings and walk from Seattle to the farthest point on the map Key West, Florida. The book is written in journal form; narrated by Alan himself. Richard Paul Evans will put you right beside Alan and you will be walking with Alan on his amazing journey. I have to keep reminding myself that this story is fiction. I belong to that club that nobody signs up for. I am wondering how Mr. Evans himself can pull this story out of himself, to the depth he takes this story too. I do not think I have highlighted any novel as much as I have in " a Road to Grace". If I did not have book four " A Step of Faith" to read, I think I would probably have to re-read book three all over again. The story is so simple, yet so inspiring and uplifting. I adored all the quotes that Mr. Evan's included in this novel. I loved all the places Alan tells us about on his journey across this beautiful county of ours, having been to many of them myself it really put me right there along side of Alan. Most importantly though it is the people that Alan meets along the way, that will lead him to the road of Grace. I would highly recommend The walk series to anyone that is looking for more out of life- that wants to be inspired- this is one journey that is definitely worth taking. "Miles to Go" Inspiring, moving, and full of wisdom, "Miles to Go" picks up where The Walk left off, continuing the unforgettable series about one man's unrelenting search for hope. What is it about walking that makes our outlook on life seem more hopeful. I like the way Alan's story is told in Journal format. I am looking forward to the next book; I hope he makes it to Key West. I will be looking for more of Richard Paul Evans work; I think I found another great story teller. -- --

It’s Not Too Late to Take a Walk
I happened by the first two books in the series at my local library when I bought a bag o’ books for $5.00. I kept them both in my stack for 2 years. Recently, I pulled out The Walk and started my journey with Alan. Honestly, I am a teaching pastor and have learned many things from Alan’s words that have caused me pause to think. I engulfed the first two books and then quickly purchased the next three for my Kindle. I cannot put these books down! Cheers to RPE for interesting, clean, and very-well written books. I am going to try a book club with this series! Start walking!

Another lovely easy read, as part of a 5 book series it could be a stand alone, but the reader would be better starting at book 1 The Walk.
