GN-U DOU: Sasuraiger PVC Figure by Super Robot

You'd be stupid to not pick one of these up and at this price as these are now 8 years out of production and ever example I've seen or bought are in excellent condition. The short lived and ill fated GN-U Dou series has one unique feature of an internal skeleton that the pieces clip onto, though not designed to be dismantled as a feature the skeleton was a genius idea. The internal skeleton was used on the whole line from the classic Anime offerings such as Sasuraiger to the current Macross offerings. It truly was a genius idea. Do to the Yamato Toys using low end mostly forgettable Anime from the early 70's to mid 1980's this series of toys didn't hit the mark with collectors though the toys construction is at the top end 99% level of construction with a mix of impact plastic, indestructible PVC and select hard rubbers. For instance with this, the Sasuraiger the rifle is hard molded colored rubber and very crisp detail. The side skirts, feet and various panels are clipped into the main skeleton. It's the only figure I've ever owned for having such small parts that has yet to break and when you thought you may break something it didn't. It's just that well made. Sad to see this series end before it ever was appreciated.

Excellent figure, one of the best deals on the internet for a high quality robot figure. Pretty much on par with Robot Spirits figures. Stands roughly 6”, the armor is removable and can pop off with crazy poses. Easy to pop back on. The paint detail and packaging are all amazing, seriously pick one up fun to keep on your desk.

Sasuraiger is a great design from a show that most people have likely never watched, myself included. This figure captures his design perfectly, and has a decent amount of articulation. My only complaint is that waist articulation is hindered by the white plastic straps on his sides, but those are easily removable. For the extremely cheap price, this figure is a steal.
