I absolutely love this stand. It was easy to assemble. In the assembly instructions, there is only a picture with four diagrams and no written instructions. You can easily look at the picture and then assemble in 30-60 minutes. No special tools are need. Included is one Allen wrench which is all you will need. Stand is very sturdy. I purchased it for my mother. She loves it. I especially love the glass shelves. It gives the stand a more modern, sophisticated look. The price is great too. I did not want to spend an arm and a leg since I am on a fixed budget, but I wanted something that looked really nice too and found it with this product. Thanks Amazon!

If I could give negative stars, I would! In all my years of ordering from Amazon, this was the WORST experience ever!! Do NOT waste your money on this piece of garbage. First of all, it took 10 days to receive the item. When it finally arrived, two of the four glass shelves were shattered into a million pieces. One of the wrought iron pieces was broken - snapped in two pieces. And another piece was nothing like the photo, leading me to believe that it was missing (until I finally realized it was just different). The directions were unintelligible!! But once I figured out how to assemble it, just how poorly made it is became even more evident. Once assembled it's not at all sturdy, the shelves don't lie flat on the inserts, and the entire unit wobbles. PLUS, the dimensions are NOT what is listed. In fact, the dimensions are 31" wide by 68" high (at the very highest point) by 13" deep. Sending it back will be a COMPLETE hassle because it's large and heavy, but it's just not worth keeping!

This is an inexpensive, nice-looking shelf unit that has attracted a lot of positive comments. I am using two of them for an indoor herb garden. I'm giving it one less star due to difficulties assembling it and because one of the glass shelves was badly chipped in the second unit. Also, it is a little rickety if you handle it. Some tips on assembling it: don't tighten the screws till you're sure you got it right. You want to make sure the pieces with the holes for the rods are oriented with the holes facing inwards. You also want to make sure to insert the rods before finishing the assembly. You also want to make sure the clear plastic tubes are slipped onto the rods before the rods are put in place. You also want to make sure the plastic foot pads are slipped on before hauling the unit upright. None of this is clear on the skimpy assembly diagram. Follow these tips and it'll be pretty easy to put together.

I bought two of these shelves. The shelves are very nice looking, but I was very disappointed in the sturdiness of the product and how loose the shelves are once they are placed on the metal rods. I feel that it could have been desgined to be just a little deeper and fit a little more snug. Other issues were one of the finial holes are stripped, so it leans to the side. Two of my glass shelves were chipped. After putting them together, I realized, not one but two of the side rails(arms) for the bookshelves had the finish rubbed off because they were delivered exposed(box had a significant hole in it).With the bottom shelf I actually installed it so that it serves as a deep tray/shelf and not just a shelf. That will make it even more cute. You just flip the bars so that the holes that hold the rods for the glass shelf are on the bottom and not the top.

This was exactly what I was looking for! I had a 55 gallon fish tank with stand that I no longer wanted set up. The space was void without it so I purchased this as a plant stand to go in that area and it is great! Easy to set up, light weight yet sturdy. The only problem I had was that one of the shelves was uneven so all I did was cut some rubber fish tubing and put that on the peg and it leveled it out nice.

I have been searching, online and off, for a shelving unit for my living room for quite some time. We live in a small condo and were sorely in need of extra shelving space for pictures, etc. I found this item, which was delivered in approx. 1 week. We had a little problem problem putting it together, more specifically, making certain it was even for proper placement of the the glass shelves. Other than that, it was pretty simple to put together. It looks great in our living room and I'm really happy we purchased it.

I purchased the sunburst canopy bed (which is still wonderful months later - particularly when you end up with an extra mattress that you put on top of the first one, letting you sleep really high up off the floor under a canopy - looks very impressive!! :-D ) and afterwards bought the bookcase to go with it. The glass shelving was very heavily wrapped, but still somehow - with pounds of bubblewrap around them - 2 broke in transit. May have had something to do with the very small UPS delivery person trying to shove the packages up 3 flights of stairs. I contacted the seller late that night after work, and they had replacements there the next day! They were WONDERFUL! There is 'some assembly required,' obviously, but I was still able to put it together by myself with little difficulty. All tools required are included in the packaging (I now have more allen wrenches than I know what to do with) along with extra screws. I am currently trying to figure out how to fit the whole set in my bedroom while still allowing me access to my bed. Love these guys!

The item description says Dimensions: 38"W x 16"D x 71"H but the one that was sent that is only 32 inches wide and about 68 inches high. Didn't notice until I assembled it and set it next to my older unit which is 38 inches wide. I wanted a matching pair but now I have one big one and one smaller one.
