To determine which size is right for your chair, measure the diameter of the chair holes, and measure the distance between the holes, center to center. Select the size that matches your chair from the Chair Cane Size Chart in the photos. If your measurements don't match the chart exactly, the diameter of hole is more important than the center to center measurement. These kits contain enough chair cane for a woven seat that is 12 x 12". Easy Chair Caning Kit
This chair caning kit was exactly what I needed to save an antique rocking chair built in 1864 by my ancestor. The instructions were easy to follow and I was very pleased with the outcome.

High quality cane and excellent instructions for weaving a chair seat.
I bought two of these kits in order to weave the seats on a canoe. The package arrived in 2 days and contained far more cane and binding than I needed, plenty of pegs, a caning awl, and clear instructions. The quality cane was superb and the seats turned out beautiful.

good cane
Good material, I may have made a mistake in my first attempt, but I got my first seat completed. I purchased a hank of cane on another platform from an individual and the difference in that cane and this was even visible to a first time seat cane. The other looked like it had a skin condition and it broke at every little knot, I know now that cane can be old and crappy. This cane was even in color and wasn't brittle at all.

Perfect Kit for My CHair
I had watched some YouTube tutorials leading up to my project, but the book was the perfect "in the moment" companion to the project. The only issues I ran into were the result of not having read the whole way through before getting started (which it even warns about!). I will probably get a thinner awl for my next project and a few more pegs, but I was very happy with this and had everything I needed.

Excellent little kit!
This is a great little kit. I found the instruction book very easy to follow for my first re-caning project. The kit came with plenty of cane for my project. I made many mistakes along the way, and at one point I had to tear it all out and start completely over. Thankfully there was enough cane in the kit to allow for this. The kit came with only 6 pegs which for me, as a beginner, were not enough, and I ended up using golf tees when I needed more pegs. But overall, this is great kit and I'm really happy with the result!

Ok kit for beginners
I'm new to caning I found this kit to be ok if you don't want to invest a lot if you've never done it before. Even without any experience I could see its not the best. There are many imperfections. It broke several times while working on my chair
