Book warped and bent. No cover jacket like in the photo. Took awhile to ship.

I bought this book as a gift for a friend and he loved the book. Anything by m is worth the money. But at the price of the book and condition I think the seller is fab. The wait time for delivery was like ASAP. Rap on!

Good read

I've been an avid fan of Eminem's music and thought I knew who the REAL slim shady was, but I was pleasantly surprised to read and learn something "so secretive" about the greatest-selling-rapper-of-all-time. While I won't reveal the shocking secret in the review, that is for you to find out when you purchase Dawkins's sublime expose on Eminem, I will say that stans of Eminem will learn a thing or two from Dawkins's accounts and can also master some theories of rhetoric.I will be using this book in my classroom and personally recommend this to any fan of music, Eminem, rhetoric, or just a good read while in transit to/from work.

Even if you know and love Eminem's music, this book will shed new light on the artist his work. And if you don't know Eminem, or if he isn't your cup of espresso, you might just "lose yourself" and discover he's more than you imagine. The author presents a comprehensive and well-researched biography, full of notes, details and resources. Then she goes deeper and puts Eminem in context with an analysis that involves America, race, class, music, history and self-identity. A truly enjoyable and informative read.

very informative! I have not read this book yet but I plan to in the future though! I just like Eminem a lot. So I think if you need to know anything and I mean anything this book would be good!
