Doesn’t do a good job

Much needed product in my kitchen!

It works fine and convenient. I tried with a big kitchen knife, and then use it to slice the pork. the result was pretty impressive. I like it.

My wife would complain all the time that knifes are dol. I took them a couple fo time to sharpen and was not satisfied with price and quality. I decided to give a try for something that would not cost more than sharpening a couple of knives with a tip. and though it came with a long sharpening rod that I used fairly regularly, I never sharpened them in any other way. So, it was not surprising that I was having trouble cutting tomatoes with the blades as they were. This knife sharpener was reasonably priced, small, and I liked the three-step process. I sharpened all my knives (about 5) in less than 15 minutes, and they work great! They glide through tomatoes again!. This is an inexpensive but effective solution. It is excellent in my kitchen and also my RV. It works quite well for my needs. We’ll see how it performs over time, but I figure long life is just a bonus. Like the bonus glove they put in there for the rookies. Previously, I tried everything like stones, diamond this & that, but this sharpener did the trick. I'm happy with it and the glove was a nice extra. Some of my really cheap $1 pocket knives did not get sharp but they were in really bad shape -- it was a fun experiment to try..After a month of use, the sharpener on diamond sand is completely gone and it only shaves steel instead of sharpening it. TRASH! Dont destroy your knives.
