this towel shelf is beautiful and has a heavy feel to it. installation was easy with template and looks beautiful in our bathroom. it is a bit pricey but has excellent quality.

The shelf is deeper than most competitors and holds stacks of large towels comfortably. I purchased it because it was the closest match to my Koehler set. While the price is high I’m very happy with its appearance, quality and functionality. I have had it mounted over my bathtub for five years and it’s in perfect condition. I bought a new shelf, not a warehouse deal.

My master bathroom is very small and I do not have a linen closet to store my towels. The Kohler Purist towel rack and shelf is perfect. The towel shelf is wide enough to hold bath towels and I could not be more pleased. It is very sturdy and it was the perfect purchase to start my bathroom renovation.

This Kohler Towel Rack is perfect for the situation we have. Small spaces needing extra storage. Over the Water Closet is Perfect. It is strong enough to hold towels as high as you can pile them if it is attached to the wall correctly. Consider finding at least one stud if possible to mount it on. Otherwise make sure you use a method that pulls from the back side of the wall board and not just the expansion anchor they give you for the top screw of each wall connector.

Looks great. Well constructed

When we were having our bathroom redone and originally picked up a similar Moen fixture because it was much cheaper, but the Moen looked and felt flimsy in person. Having outfitted the remodel almost exclusively in Koehler products I decided to spend the extra money on the towel rack as well and buy the Koehler. I'm glad I did.We had the contractor install it inside of our alcove shower over the recently installed tile work. He didn't mention any problems getting it installed and it well anchored to the wall.The shelf is very nicely made and finished. The materials are all high-quality and heavy weight. The finish and shape matched the other Purist pieces we bought perfectly. It's been in the shower for a few months now and still looks and feels brand new. We use it to hold two bath towels and a floor mat, but it could easily support more. All in all... another quality Koehler piece.

Towel rack, hang it in your shower?

It's surprisingly rare to find a nice towel shelf that extends 12" from the wall like this Kohler. The 12" really helps keep those plush towels from falling off. Because there are 4 wall mounts, it is very sturdy and can handle the weight and extension from the wall. Almost all other towel racks only have 2 mounting points and less extension from the wall.HOWEVER, getting one that is actually in good condition is a problem. I recently bought one from the warehouse in "very good" condition and then I bought one in brand new condition. Both had broken off rods with just a hanging screw where it was supposed to be connected. There appears to be a quality control problem in manufacturing.I did buy one a few months ago in "very good" condition that was assembled properly but was missing one of the mounts. I called Kohler who said they were not able to give or sell me a mounting bracket which seemed ludicrous. I was able to buy a Kohler 1064696 N/A Replacement Anchor Kit on my own to complete the installation.The bottom line is I bought 2 used and 1 brand new piece and none of them were functional out of the box. Two of them were broken and completely unusable. The other one is mounted and working well after I tracked down a missing mounting bracket. Because of all these headaches, I will be looking elsewhere for any future towel shelves.
