Proposed Improvement
This LP box is great. Very strong and stores a large number of albums. One possible improvement; if you have a lot of LP's and use the standard LP Dividers found on Amazon, the lid will not close without bending the label tabs. The box could be made 1" taller and solve this problem.

Incredibly sturdy & sleek with heavy duty hardware.
I bought the CLP180E instead of the CLP200E because I preferred the minimal look over the chrome corners. I'm very happy with the construction and all-black appearance.I'm not a touring DJ, so I use this to hold my at-home vinyl collection. Perhaps touring DJ's would prefer the metal corners. For me, this is more of a furniture/storage piece and it looks very classy. You can sit on it, dance on it or whatever...It's that sturdy! The removable top is an added bonus - when closed it's perfect for preventing dust buildup & when open it displays your collection perfectly. The interior is topped with carpeting and the base of the inside is a super smooth, easy to clean surface. Your LP's won't get stuck on the carpeting. The carpeted finish adds that little bit of padding to prevent wear and tear of the record sleeves. This item fits single, double, triple and even box setvinyl collections. I highly recommend this "worth-every-penny" product.

Woo hoo...now this is a quality case
I read the great review on this record case, and I now I have one myself. High quality inside and out. Nicely finished corners and carpet covering. The inside has an odor from the factory. It smells more like perfume, than any chemical. Anyway, I left the lid off a couple days to air it out. Speaking of.....I like how the lid is easily removable for viewing my records. You simply rotate the cover past 90 degrees and it lifts off. Easy to put back on and close too. Again, this case is just built so good. Hard to imagine anyone being let down using this case. My record collection is still rather small, so I don't know if I can stuff 90 records in it. When I hit about 70 albums, I'm sure I will just buy another one of these Odyssey cases.

Carpeted, yes. But not on the inside where you need it to be...
I purchased this LP case for home use. In my opinion, this is an attractive and high quality album case overall. Very heavy and sturdy wood construction, with thick metal covered corners and braces on the outside. It's large, and filled with albums, it would be difficult for many people to lift. I don't know how many LP's it will hold yet, but it looks like it could possibly hold almost a hundred single albums in their covers as advertised. There is an inch to spare on the side with an album inside, so you shouldn't have any issues with too-tight a fit. Top clearance is adequate. Standard size box-sets fit inside fine. The handle, latch & hinges seem substantial and should last. It doesn't look as if the latch, hinges or handle would break when carrying a heavy load of LP's. The latch is spring loaded, but not lockable. The lid comes all the way off, which can be handy. The single carrying handle is also spring loaded to keep it closed. It has a rubber sleeve to protect your fingers, but good luck trying to carry this case fully loaded with a single handle. I think that dual handles, one on each side, would have made this large case easier to carry (and also normally stackable.) Since I just purchased these cases recently, I don't yet know how the carpeted exterior will stand up to wear & tear. These cases are NOT stackable with handles facing up (I bought two) because the handle, although recessed, still sticks up above the surface of the lid about 1/2 inch. You can stack them by turning a lower case on it's side, however. The case is carpeted wood, but although it is entirely carpeted on the outside, it is ONLY carpeted the top 2 1/2 inches on the inside, so there is not much carpeting to protect your albums ! Disappointing, since these two design flaws could have easily been corrected with a little forethought by Odyssey.Overall, a great and functional album case. It looks like it will last years with home use to me, but you should be aware that it has some shortcomings, as all of these cases seem to.PROS:AttractiveSturdy wood constructionHigh quality hardwareHolds a large number of albums, with some extra space on the side to allow box-sets & non-standard-size albums.Lid is removableCONS:Not carpeted insideNot vertically stackable for multiple cases, unless some are turned on their sidesSingle handled large case that is heavy when loaded

My second Odyssey LP case
I have previously ordered a CLP200P Odyssey LP case and, although it is major fantastic, it just would not hold all of my vinyls. Also none of my larger boxed sets would fit in that case. So I ordered the CLP090E and could not be more satisfied. It held the rest of my vinyls, and my larger boxed sets fit just fine. Empty, the CLP200P (which I totally love) is very heavy. The CLP090E though is surprisingly light for such a solid built case. I will probably be purchasing a couple more CLP200Ps to store my Laserdiscs. I know they will last a lot longer than I will. Both cases were ordered from MVInnovations. Delivery was fast, packaging was excellent, and I will order through them again in a heartbeat. Thank you MVInnovations.

Hope it comes back
This is the correct way to store and transport your valuable vinyl. It is well worth the extra $20 or so bucks from the hard case. The top does not open violently as another reported. You just have to realize that the top is supposed to detach at 90 degrees to exhibit your albums. Solid wood, carpeted and would hold 95 albums comfortably with the outer plastic sleeves as well. If you do not use plastic sleeves it will fit 100. It is heavy when full but that is the beauty of vinly, isn't it? I was just going to buy my second one when I saw that they discontinued them. Aw Shucks!

Pricey but A Quality Item!!!
Bought these for my wife as a gift for Christmas to preserve a legacy collection of vinyls and to go along with her new LP Bluetooth Player. Was a grand slam gift and these are very sturdy. Actually, I bought the bigger case by Odyssey that holds 200 but it was so heavy I opted to return it and get the more manageable ones that hold 100 each. Rock solid product. 100 LP's is actually very tight though. So, we bought a third one after Christmas in order to allow them to breathe and space out a little. Highly Recommend.

Christmas Gift
This was a gift but I think it met the requirements of the recipient. He placed his albums in it as soon as he received the gift.

Solidly Built
This LP Case is solid. I needed a good vinyl record case for my collectable albums (mostly Beatles) and this is a case that does the job. All my albums have protective outer sleeves and many double folded, so I managed to get just over 50 lp's, but it holds many more singles. It must have been just made because it smells as if it were just painted and assembled a mere weeks ago, so best to air it out for a few days which is no big deal. I needed something to protect my many collectables so I am probably going to order one more with the knowledge that my kids and their kids will have this collection for a long, long time. If your collectables are currently in crates or milk cartons maybe it's time to get a case like this.

Odyssey CLP100P Carpeted Pro Lp Case
I love this case––so much that I just purchased my 4th. If you're serious about keeping your records protected from the elements, look no further. This case is built like a tank, a bit expensive but well worth it. When brand new, and first opening a case, there is always what appears to be a paint/or other smell that goes away after a day or two. This means I make a habit of holding off a couple of days (while it airs out) before loading it with records. I highly recommend this case.
