I purchased the tub and sink 2 pack. Installed in both the tub and sink drains. They have multiple rubber washers sized to fit most drains. While they do catch hair they slow the drain down considerably. PLEASE NOTE, they slow the drain down when brand new and with zero hair in them. Completely clean they slow the tub drain down so after several minutes your standing in several inches of water. The same happens in the sink, after several seconds the drain backs up and you have a pool of water. It appears as though they prevent the natural ability of the the drain to swirl which considerably slows the drain down. I had to remove the bathtub hair catcher because soap scum builds up and causes the tub to become extremely slippery.Yes the rubber "O" rings/washers were sized and installed properly and the catchers are clean and hair free yet still cause extremely slow draining.

I love them!!! There is no much more to say. I got one for every sink drain in my house and one for every bathtub. I couldn't have been happier with my purchase. They came with different rubber bottoms so that I could pick the one that best fits the inner diameter of my drains. The rubber base at the bottom is pretty sturdy and easy to clean. The metal core and top is very elegant, it still looks brand new even though I have owned them for about two years now. I have only changed the rubber base once in all this time. All you have to do is clean them on a regular basis. When too much hair accumulates, you'll notice immediately because the water flow will be substantially diminished. But cleaning them takes less than 2 minutes and you are ready to go. My only complain is the fact that they don't make one for shower drains. I would buy it immediately if they did! This would be a great gift for someone who just bought a new home or someone who is moving into a new apartment. I would love to get them as a gift! In summary, this is a great product at an excellent price. Excellent quality, beautiful appearance.

I have had these for about two years. They are great until you wear off the chrome coating and the copper under starts to be exposed. Then you have a chrome/copper swirl on it. Now, granted, I was rough on mine. For example, I used Ajax on it sometimes with scratch pads. If you baby it and have the usual immaculate sink that everyone else but me has, then they'll be fine. But if you are going to be rough on them, though, they will lose that chrome coat in 9 months or so. In that case, you probably should look elsewhere for stainless steel ones (which probably cost several times what these do).

The purpose of these are exactly what you think they are and it's to catch the gross stuff that you don't want in your drain while also letting water go down quickly. Well it goes down quickly enough but not as fast as your typical drain stopper thing. Cleaning it is incredibly gross and a real pain because of the gunk that gets stuck in the holes. Make no mistake, it definitely gunks up.

I tried other brands and this one is the only one that TRULY caught a lot of hair, thanks to its clever design. The only issue that I've had whatsoever is that the conditioner gums up the holes meant to allow water to pass through, so I'm cleaning it out ever 2-3 showers. It's annoying and a feature that could be changed marginally (SLIGHTLY larger drain holes) to make a big difference, but overall I'd rather clean this out frequently and know the hair is being caught than clean it less frequently but have to draino the pipes once a month to clear blockages. I'd highly recommend, esp if having girlishly long hair that needs globs of conditioner is not much of a concern for you.

This looks so much nicer looking and is more hygienic than the tub shroom. The latter got really moldy and smelly and was permanently discolored even after cleaning with bleach.I will say one thing, I was hoping that unlike the tub shroom I would be able to go a little longer before cleaning it out, but you really do have to clean out these things after EVERY shower, at least with long haired people in the house, otherwise your shower will drain really slowly. I suppose it's good to know that all that stuff isn't going down the drain though!It catches pet hair (Siberian husky), hair from shaving, and long hair really well. No mold and I've had it for a few months.

Gave it 4 stars as they are good quality, heavy items and definitely catch the hair, but they are difficult to clean and seem to encourage "gunk" build up in the drain and on the items themselves. Very nasty to try to clean them and if you don't do it regularly they actually clog the drain until you do. If you're not too squeamish and don't mind cleaning them once or twice a week, they are a good purchase.

My whole family has long hair. Does not allow any long hair down drain to clog my sink. It gets pretty yucky when it gets full, but if you clean it often it works great. Also, I didn't have anything covering the hour on my sink or shower and lost a ring down there shower drain. This would never had happened if I had already bought these little guys. I like em.
