Delicious Breakfast
Purchased for my next trip. Easy, delicious breakfast. Not too sweet.

Boutique food for hikes.
I went out on a limb and tried a variety pack of these meals. Hopefully for prepping meals with a little bit more taste or long term storage. I waited a while to eat one to test it out, I’ll tell you it’s not good tasting and certainly not as tasty as other brands with less ingredients. The package I tried doesn’t taste any better than the cheaper survival meals that have a 25 year shelf life with decent ingredients. Ok, to be fair it should be much better for the price. Edible.Secondly, it has a lot of calories and sugar. Which you need while hiking or exerting yourself but those of you that want to eat healthy, counting calories or need/want less sugar, good luck.Third point is the shelf life. I bought these about six months to a year ago but the expiration date is early 2023. Not what I was looking for and a cause for disappointment when they arrived. Not a bad weekend hiking warrior food stuff but NOT a long term prepping solution. It also wouldn’t kill the creators to get a little more simple with the ingredients. It was a lot and where it wasn’t good, it is edible. I will try the rest to be fair instead of acting like a spoiled child and try to send the rest back and give them a fair shake but the banana nutmeg buckwheat meal was awful.

Fuel for the day
Heather’s Choice breakfasts are delicious and can sustain you the entire day if needed. I love the packages, easy to prepare and easy to get every last morsel to slide onto your spoon. We ate Heather’s breakfasts every morning before putting on the river.

Tastes like rotten Christmas soot off a boot
This was the absolute worst tasting concoction I’ve ever had in my mouth. It was like concentrated Christmas tree soot scraped of the bottom of a snow boot. I didn’t even want to swallow it for fear I’d burp it for 10 miles. I spit it out and did not eat it.
