The Pentel Graphgear 500 (0.3mm) is a solid mechanical pencil with great build quality. The grip feels comfortable and secure, making it easy to write or draw for long periods. Overall, the product itself is really good. However, the provider/manufacturer should definitely consider including a lead pack with the pencil. Since it's a 0.3mm size, the leads are not always easy to find, and having at least one pack included would make the purchase feel more complete and convenient. Good product, but missing a small essential detail.

Let’s get straight to the point: if you want your sketches to look professional, this 0.3mm mechanical pencil is a must-have because it produces lines that are incredibly sharp, crisp, and precise. I specifically bought this model because the YouTuber jMarron uses it, and while I’m not sure which lead he prefers, the pencil itself is a game-changer for anime art. The build quality is super and durable; even though the upper body is made of plastic, it feels premium because the weight is concentrated at the lower side. This bottom-heavy distribution makes it feel stable and comfortable in your hand, giving you a level of control that cheap pencils simply can’t match. However, there are some serious downsides you need to know. It comes with two Pentel Ain Stein HB leads, which are strong and durable but way too light for sketching. To properly use this for anime and get those dark, sharp lines, you absolutely have to buy 2B lead separately. Another major issue is that for a "premium" tool, Pentel was stingy—this pencil does not include a cleaning pin under the eraser to clear lead jams. This is a big risk for 0.3mm leads. Then there is the price: I got mine for ₹445 with 30 rupees cashback offer, but it frequently jumps to ₹599. Honestly, the materials used are not worth over ₹200, especially when you can find full-metal pencils at local stationary shops for ₹30. You are clearly paying for the brand name, not just the materials. Don’t buy this when it’s priced at ₹599. Wait for it to drop below ₹475, because while the pencil is elite, the full price is hard to justify.

The overall build quality, weight distribution, and tactile internal mechanism of this pencil are truly mind-blowing. Unlike the Graphgear 1000, it lacks a fancy tip retractable mechanism, which makes it more accurate and simplistic. At 449 Rs, it offers exceptional value for money.

Very good product, does what it claims. Only negative is it is not metal, only appearance is. With plastic body it is light and easy to hold for long sessions.

È ottima questa matita meccanica, la migliore, non posso farne a meno. La prima matita l’ho acquistata 4 anni fa, disegnavo ogni giorno, poi però l’ho distrutta versando dell’olio, ed è entrato nel meccanismo, non riuscivo più a schiacciare la mina. Colpa mia, ovviamente. Poco tempo fa l'ho riacquistata, nonostante siano passati 4 anni dalla prima che avevo comprato, la qualità è rimasta tale, a differenza di molti altri prodotti che con gli anni peggiorano. La consiglio vivamente.
