This copper water bottle is gorgeous and with proper care, should last for years of beauty to come. I specifically chose this bottle because it doesn't have the outer lacquered coating on the outside since it will peel and flake off over time requiring you to strip it and re-lacquer it repeatedly. It came well packaged so that there were no dents or scratches. I was really impressed by their packaging. It was wrapped 5 different ways including the sturdy box from Amazon and another cardboard box from the manufacturer. After removing it from the cardboard boxes, it was in a sturdy plastic bag, then completely surrounded inside a foam pouch and finally, carefully wrapped in paper. Inside the bottle was a moisture pouch to further protect it in storage/shipping from the staining that moisture will naturally cause. Having copper vessels, I knew how to keep it clean and protected. I know what the patina will end up doing over time starting with brown or black spots and staining ending in the final green patina beauty of real copper as in the beautiful green of America's copper Statue of Liberty. You can choose to keep the patina or regularly polish it out with vinegar, salt or lemon and buffing with a little natural beeswax on the outside to keep that copper gleaming. This came with very good instructions on how to safely clean it and how to treat the natural staining if you want to and how to polish it out. They also included a method I had never tried before to keep the copper gleaming. Also, to keep the lid from becoming more difficult to thread or seal over time, rub a tiny amount of coconut, almond or avocado oil on the lid threads after each cleaning to keep it locking and unscrewing without it sticking or leaking for years to come. I had been trying low dose copper supplements for a while for my health but hated the nausea it always caused me. I then remembered that drinking water from pure copper vessels can add copper to your body for health in a more natural way with smaller doses which I need. As I've aged well into my senior years, low dose copper helps with so many things like improved skin, improved energy, better wound healing and less graying of my hair and now I'll be able to continue the benefits of copper supplementation by drinking cool, health giving water from my copper water bottle. And, copper vessels naturally cause water to cool down so you don't need to refrigerate it since refrigeration is discouraged for water in a copper vessel. The bottle showed up before the expected delivery date, which was awesome. I am very pleased with the quality of the bottle only wish it were bigger. I have been using it going on three weeks now and the color has totally tarnished (showing its authenticity). I’m loving it, it seals pretty good at the lid so no complaints there, I even dropped it a few days ago and encored a dent on the bottom, the lit held up better. Overall, it’s a great investment.

Good water bottle but after time the top sometimes Jan's up when screwing it back on. Probably would be better with plastic threads fir cap.

Hoping to get the benefits from using it

If you have used KleenKanteen in the past, this is different. The one thing about copper is that the smell and taste can be strange. The outer part of the bottle blotches up with stains very easily. You have to be very careful about how you handle and wash this. Overall it's a good bottle and a good idea. However... There is a single HUGE design mistake here. That is in using a copper threaded top. After a few opens and closes you start to feel a grinding of the metals. This should have been coupled with a plastic top to prevent that kind of grinding. Also, the threads are a bit too thin, which contributes to this grinding AND it's relatively easy to mis-thread the top because of this. I don't regret my purchase, but I would not buy this bottle again until/unless the top is changed out for a hard plastic. Copper on copper is not great, and the looks go down rapidly on the outside.

So far, so good. I’ve used it a few times. The plastic ring hasn’t come off and the top hasn’t gotten stuck on once.

This bottle is a great size, easy to hold and fits in a cup holder.

The lid screws on even and water tight and there are no blemishes or marks, dents of visible signs of use. Overall, very pleased and look forward to the 'copper infused water' benefits.
