It has a 3 pin UK plug. Very useful. I have it on all night at the moment. Some may find it noisy and has a purple light, but neither bother me.

Is this quite as needed for night time

Not as loud as normal fans, can be set for shut off time and it ocilates. I use mine for when I'm in bed and I think it's fabulous, not too big and bulky like desktop or floor fans perfect for standard size bedside cabinets. Hope this helps you 😊

Is the timer a choice? Can I just have it on at all times?

Hi it has a timer choice of 1-2 hours but can also be left on all the time
