NOT Solo-able and Campaign is NOT on the App.
I solo the campaigns and I was pretty upset when I learned this campaign is NOT playable on the Legends of the Alliance App. The pieces and terrain and models are great, and you can tell the App you have them for use in other campaigns, but this campaign and expansion will have very limited utility if you don't play SW:IA with a dedicated gaming group or play skirmish. I wish I knew this before I bought it. By the way, it is 2019 and Fantasy Flight Games isn't supporting this game hardly at all anymore, so don't expect them to ever upload this expansion campaign to the App.

Great Expansion that Adds the Main Campaign's Final Boss Character
A terrific add on for the core Imperial Assault campaign game that brings the main campaign's villain to life. General Weiss is the core "story's" antagonist, a general who rides into battle atop a heavily modified AT-ST. In the core game, Weiss is merely represented by a single token (though there is a Deployment card available for him in the core set). To use him WITHOUT this expansion set, you'd either need to use the token (kind of lame) or fill in with the base AT-ST the game comes with. The great thing about Weiss' expansion is that not only do you get a terrific new model to add to your collection that brings the villain to life during your games, you can retrofit Weiss' modified AT-ST to serve as a duplicate standard scout walker (if you wanted to double up on the things to be a monster). It is a great looking model and the expansion also comes with a group of new Command Cards and Skirmish Mission cards to add on to the secondary game mode, plus back up copies of Weiss' Deployment card and the standard AT-ST Deployment card. The expansion instructions provide the standard A or B variation on a new Skirmish map as well as the instructions for a new Imperial player side mission wherein you can unlock General Weiss as a villain (ie unlock Weiss and then deploy him during any campaign mission you want). Overall one of the better expansions due to the fact that you can double the model's uses (as either Weiss or a regular walker).

New missions, heroes, miniatures and...Boba Fett?
First: Let me get some important information out of the way. This is an expansion for Imperial Assault, do not buy this without having the main game. Also, as I have yet to play the Skirmish mode of Imperial Assault, this will be completely from a Campaign viewpoint. So, what do you get when you buy the Twin Shadows expansion? A quick rundown of the components:10 Plastic Figures12 Map Tiles2 Hero Sheets (with corresponding hero class decks of 9 cards in each)11 Deployment Cards6 Agenda Cards4 Side Mission Cards6 Item Cards9 Imperial Class Cards5 Reward Cards2 Supply Cards3 Command Cards (for you Skirmish players out there)4 Condition Cards (new condition called "Weakened") and 5 Condition Tokens8 Device Tokens (used by one of the new heroes)10 Damage Tokens6 Strain Tokens1 Skirmish Map Sheet2 Shirmish Missions Cards4 Ally and Villain Tokens8 ID Tokens with 24 ID StickersLooks like a lot, right? Well, what does this actually add to the game though?Let's start with the Campaign missions. Twin Shadows adds a total of 6 new side missions that can be integrated into your campaign from the original Imperial Assault box: 2 hero side missions (for the new heroes), 2 Imperial side missions from agenda sets, 1 grey side mission (one of the ones that are randomly selected into the side mission deck at the beginning of the campaign), and 1 green side mission (one of the ones chosen by the Rebels at the beginning of the campaign). It bugs me that 2/6 have to be brought by the Imperial player to get any playtime, and the green side mission is just another way for the Rebels to get Han Solo as an ally. But Twin Shadows also has a way to make this less annoying.Built into the expansion is a mini-campaign which stretches over 4 missions (2 of the missions have branching possibilities just like in the normal campaign) using the new missions. Not only is this a good way to play all of the new missions, it's also less of a time commitment for a group of players. I know getting a group together on a regular basis can be difficult, but the mini-campaign can easily be completed in one or two sessions instead of 6+.The two new heroes are very unique. Biv Bodhrik is a rush in and melee/shoot at you up close kind of character while Saska Teft is a support/long range specialist that will open up many possibilities. Their miniatures are beautiful and look even better when painted. On the topic of miniatures, don't expect Boba Fett or R2-D2 and C-3PO. While they appear in some of the missions, they are represented as tokens in this campaign. Also, your Imperial player will not be able to gain Boba Fett as an ally unless you buy the Boba Fett pack (which would then also get you the miniature). Finally, the Imperial player gets 2 new figure types to join him/her: Heavy Stormtroopers (pack a bit more of a punch than the normal ones and can take more of a beating) and Tusken Raiders. More options are always better!Overall I believe the content that is added to the main game is well worth the price, as long as you have people to play it with. Adding unique Star Wars characters like the droids and Boba Fett make the game feel even more Star Wars-y than before. Increasing the hero pool to 8 means it is less likely for heroes to be picked over and over again, making for a more unique campaign every time, as well as another Imperial class doing the same. If you play the Campaign mode of Imperial Assault, Twin Shadows is a must buy in my opinion.

I like it much more than I thought
For some reason I really like this expansion, I got it on a sale and it was probably one of the best deals I've ever grabbed. The mini campaign is the smallest one, but the missions are really cool and fun. The Tusken Raiders, and Heavy Stormtroopers are super fun as are the two additional heroes. Please note this does not come with Bobba Fett.

Black and white
A great and powerful villain for the forces of the Empire, while his cards come with the core game you still lack the ability to recruit him for your cause, get this and gain not only a cool looking figure but the possibility of bringing this master of warfare to the field of battle.

Women wandering around in the snow wearing green and brown uniforms.
If you want to round out your skirmish list with some more Hunters/Troopers on the Rebel side then this is a good buy.Edit: If you're at all interested in skirmish then these are essential to being competitive.

Being discontinued
Great addition to the original game. All of imperial assault is discontinued. Buy while you can

Added Greatness
Gotta love any addition to Star Wars. This gives a full size figurine to the token that the original set gives you. Also side missions, and beefier guns for this AT-ST.

Nice Model
This is one of the more complex models done by FFG for their Imperial Assault boardgame. In common with other figures in this line it scales at about 28mm and is supplied unpainted as a simple snap-together kit which goes together without many problems.I have a few minor quibbles over the strict accuaracy of its appearance when compared with old movie stills but since the source material is contradictory anyway the fact that at LOOKS like an AT-ST should please most gamers and it`s an impressive model on the gaming table.Enough parts are supplied to build the `upgunned` General Weiss version or a standard AT-ST identical to the one provided in the core game and it also comes, as most of these booster packs do with additional unit, equipment and mission cards for the game.Overall its a nice model and useful as a game piece not only for the Imperial Assault game but any of the RPG`s or any other Star Wars wargame in 28mm that people are playing.

Extra characters for the Star Wars Imperial Assault board game
There are numerous hired gun packs for the Star Wars Imperial Assault board game. Each one contains the relevant figures finely cast in high-quality plastic and all of the additional rules and cards required to use them in the main game.Imperial Assault can be played in either campaign or skirmish mode and all of the character packs are fully compatible with each other. They're a great idea and a fantastic way of expanding the game.

just like the one that's in the main box but you ...
The gun turret does not fit without some "aggressive negotiations" with the pegs inside the top turret using a cutting knife or a file :) But when you do put it together, paint it, base it - it's AWSOME! ... just like the one that's in the main box but you get bigger guns and a guy you can put in the turret :) Go on, you know you want one :)

Worst heroes ever
This includes a short campaign and few additions for skirmish. Worst heroes ever in all expansions for imperial assault. At the time I write the whole skirmish content is pretty much obsolete and out of the current meta. I suggest to look at more recent expansions first.

Good expansion
Great expansion to go with the core game. Comes with 10 new figures - 2 hero's, 4 Tusken Raiders and 4 Heavy Stormtroopers - all are nicely detailed. A mini campaign is included and a couple more skirmish maps. Some new tiles as well including the cantina from the original film!
