Leaking batteries.
I have been using the 6 pack of these batteries for years, never had any problems. I got the 8 pack and 3 to 5 of each 8 pack have leaked . Some in the package and some in the hearing aids .

CHILDPROOF PACKAGING REQUIRES A SCISSORS TO ACCESS EVERY BATTERY!
The picture of this item is the old packaging which provided a reasonable degree of protection for young children because of the dexterity required to access individual batteries. The new packaging requires a scissors and it is still difficult to break out the battery. So, it would seem that would make it safe for children. However, most hearing aid users don't keep a scissors in their pocket book, glove compartment, travel kit, golf bag, or wherever else batteries may be needed on short notice. To get around this problem many people are doing what I have done, i.e. remove all the batteries from one card or more and then place them in a dispenser that can be accessed without a set of tools. In my case, that is a ziplock bag or pill dispenser, neither of which is child-proof, and that is how the child-proof packaging becomes more of a hazard that the older packaging.I am going to re-order from every manufacturer, one at a time, until I can find one with packaging that is a real solution, not just a money-saver like PowerOne has chosen. I also plan to write the Pennsylvania Bureau of Consumer Protection about this misguided new law. I would encourage everyone to do the same. I'm sure every state has some agency that has input to this issue.

Happy overall.
Works just as well as costco, is half the price - 2x as many in package. Lasts about the same amount of time 3 days, which I've heard from friends is comparable. I do try to take them out at night which makes some extend about a day longer. I like the sticky piece on the back of the battery which gives you something to hold on to while trying to put it in the slippery hearing aid Itself. The only downside is the batteries are REALLY hard to get out of the package. The wheel turning area that holds in the battery sometimes will not turn at all and you actually have to rip apart the container holding the batteries. That is aggravating since the Walmart and the Costco wheels turn around easily. But for the price difference I will keep using these
