GrillPro40259 Stainless Steel Tong

I love the way these are long enough I don't have to worry about the heat on my hands while om grilling. I don't love how the tongs have no traction - not the handle that is great, it is the tong part that lacks traction on the food...

I use this for reaching items off the top shelf because I'm vertically challenged!

20" is nice. I use these as charcoal tongs to stoke, poke, and place. I grill/smoke a lot and haven't had issues. I'm pretty abusive to my tongs. They've survived an Ohio winter hanging off my grill.They're not going to last forever, but I'm not exactly taking care of them.These do what I need them to do, and they do them fairly well.Would I buy them again? Sure. They've held up to abuse so far. Are they sturdy? Not really, but I'd say reasonably durable so far.

These are a million times better than those clunky tongs you usually get with grilling sets.Pros:- They're very comfortable- They're long enough to not get my fingers toasted, but not too long so as to feel like I'm holding a sword- Grippy enough to pick up sausages without dropping them- Open wide enough to pick up bigger pieces of chicken, steaks, etc.- Clean very easily- The handle stays cool even when working over the grill for a long time- Works well on the grill and on a stovetop, but I would NOT recommend these for non-stick pans (get silicone-tipped ones instead, like these:  Orka 12-Inch Stainless and Silicone Tongs, Blue )Cons:- The grips are just press-fit into the metal housing, so they might eventually fall out and get lost. This hasn't been an issue yet, but just be aware that they're not glued in or anything.Overall, I love these tongs and would definitely get them again.Update: After 4 years, the grips have finally given up the ghost. The tongs work the same as always, but they look a little ratty now with the silicone grips being torn/missing. I tried the GrillHogs Luxury tongs as replacements, but the grips were just too big for me (and I'm 6'4"). After the second time I dropped a chicken thigh in 2 weeks, I put them in the trash. I just ordered another pair of these GrillPro tongs to get me set for holiday company.

I needed tongs to use for moving hot charcoal in my kettle grill and these are perfect. They're long enough to keep my hands away from the heat and the silicone grips are easy to hold on to.

I bought these tongs specifically to be able to retrieve cans of food on the upper shelves of my kitchen cabinets. Looked less complicated (and less expensive) than the "official" two-hands-needed grippers. This device works like a charm! The silicone tips grip the can securely. I would not use these for anything much heaver than 32 ounces as the tongs can't close up tightly enough for the gravity-engineered locking mechanism to work - the locking mechanism doesn't start to hold until the tongs are closed to about a 1-inch gap. What this means is that you must hold your grip on the can - if your grip isn't very strong, this won't work for you. I like the fact that, because they are 18 inches long, I don't have to set the can down on the counter first in order to reach it with my other hand (as a few posters had written about the longer more-official two-handed grippers - one hand to hold the device and the other hand to pull the locking mechanism.)I bought 3 pairs in order to get free shipping. The other two will be used for what they were made for: grillin'!

I’ve used a lot of tongs for BBQ & these are the best so far. They are extra long so if you need to you can get them down into the coals without torching your hands. If I needed a new pair these would be the tongs that I would buy.

Had back surgery in June and knew I might need extra help when I started maneuvering afterwards. One of the issues from the doctor's office was DO NOT bend over and pick thing up off the floor. DO NOT reach for things that put stress on your spine. This Grill Pro was Fantastic. Really easy to use at a really affordable price and extremely effective. I picked up a safety pin if you can believe. And with no effort. Thank you Amazon for providing a series of items for a lifestyle that is changing and making the transition easier. This company should advertise this under medical equipment.

Ich nutze eine Original bruzler grillzange schon lange, aber bei einem so großen grill wie unserem ist die einfach zu kurz gewesen.Die längste vergleichbare was diese hier. Der Preis ist knackig, alleine deshalb ging ich davon aus, das diese Zange von der Qualität mit der bruzler vergleichbar ist - weit gefehlt!Die Länge an sich ist phantastisch, aber wie so oft im Leben: die Länge alleine macht es nicht!Das Scharnier und die arretierung ist sehr lumpig und wackelig.Das Geld ist sie definitiv nicht wert, aber es gibt nichts vergleichbares!

Wer einen etwas größeren Griller besitzt, hat wahrscheinlich schon mal heisse Finger bekommen. Diese Zange ist die Lösung. Sie ist schön lang und gut verarbeitet. Kleiner Wehrmutstropfen: Die Verriegelung rutscht manchmal beim Benützen nach hinten, sodaß man nicht mehr den ganzen Öffnungbereich nutzen kann. Dann mmuss man den Ring wieder nach vorne drücken, und die Zange öffnet sich wieder ganz (bis das Spiel von vorne anfängt).

Leider sieht die Zange am Bild schöner aus..hab'sie wieder zurück geschickt!War auch qualitativ eine sehr wackelige und unstabile "Geschichte"!Und bin doch auf die Weber-Zange umgestiegen.. auch, wenn diese teuerer ist!Aber Optik und Qualität ist eindeutig.Hab'mich im Endeffekt aber dennoch geärgert, weil mit Rücksendekosten hätte ich gleich von Anfang an die "Weber" bestelllen können!

Viel kann man über eine Grillzange nun wirklich nicht sagen, aber die wichtigsten Punkte, Verarbeitung und Handhabung, möchte ich in diesem Fall mit wirklich gut bis sehr gut bewerten.Man kann sicher und ohne Kraftaufwand "zugreifen" und hält dabei ausreichend Abstand zum Grill.Preis/Leistung stimmt, daher klare Empfehlung!

Ich kann mich meinen Vor-Bewertern nur anschließen. Mein Mann verbrennt sich endlich keine Finger mehr beim Grillen. Die Zange ist nicht nur lang, sondern auch in sich sehr stabil. Aussehen tut sie auch ganz gut. Einfach prima.
