Headband Compatible with Sennheiser HD280 Earpads and Headband Pad Kit Replacement for HD 280 (PRO) HMD280 Ear Pads Headphones Cushion Padding Black (Headband only)

This headband pad is slightly different from the original but it's comfortable and is easily installed with a design similar to a zip-lock bag. I put it on my Sennheiser HD 280 Pro headphones after the headband started to flake. I've used my headphones daily for about a month now with no problems. I recommend getting a headphone stand to preserve your headband. You can get one that clamps to a desk; a stand is an improvement over my previous solution which was to use a command hook and that's probably the reason why I needed to replace the headband pad before the ear pads. The headphone stand I bought was an APPHOME foldable stand.

Indistinguishable from the OEM headband pad. It was a little finicky to get on, but no problems since then. It's very comfortable.

I bought these along with a new set of Sennheiser HD280 headphones because they were quite a bit less than the factory-replacement which cost more than half of a new set. I didn't want to spend $50 on padding when in the past, my aging HD280's started to break where the ear-cups extend. Overall, it is just better to replace the whole unit. But the price of these pads made it attractive to fix up my old pair and get what use I can out of them until they fail.The padding feels and works like the original. It is very comfortable. The only difference with the ear pads is that the material that holds them to the ear cups is quite a bit thinner and appears much less durable. At first I thought it might be due hardened plastic due to age but when I compared it to the ones on my new set, that is not the case. Only time will tell how well they will hold up under normal use. Still, given the price difference, I won't complain.The ear cups are a little bit of a challenge stretching the plastic over and into the slot. The company provides directions. Start on a narrow end and work it around. Be patient and careful. I had to work it around about 1 1/4 times before the pads were fastened properly. After that, they seem to work fine and the original comfort is restored.The top pad installs very easily.Overall, we are very satisfied with this product and its price.

I've purchased the replacement head cushion in the past and it's very easy to install. Not so with the ear cushions. They seem to be too small and just ripped when trying to install. Not good! Waste of money!?!
