Genuine Vinyl being passed off as Leather!
I am totally unhappy with this bag. Upon opening the box all I could smell was vinyl. Anyone that knows leather, knows what leather smells like, whether its a belt, wallet, purse, jacket or what ever, leather has a wonderful distinct smell. This bag smells of vinyl and only vinyl.Perhaps I was expecting more, a product that was really nice quality of real genuine leather. The picture showed a smooth soft leather. This bag is hard, really shinny and smells only of vinyl, inside & out. But for what I paid, I should have known better. It is true, you get what you pay for. Although if I wanted a vinyl bag, I probably could have bought one at my local department store for not much over $12.Upon really close inspection, it appears it could be some form of pressed & formed leather, almost like a piece of cheap beef jerky. However, I wanted a shaving kit bag to match my leather luggage, so this bag is going back. I have already ordered another bag that should be really fine leather, of course it cost almost twice what I paid for this, but I'm getting what I want.Products sold in this country that are referred to as being made of leather are required to be labeled, stamped or embossed somewhere on the product indicating as such. Whether it be a pair of shoes, jacket, wallet or belt, you'll always notice somewhere on it it will be stamped or embossed "Genuine Leather" or "Genuine Leather Uppers, the rest Man Made Material". This product has no such markings, indicating it is more than likely All man made material, meaning vinyl!I edited this review after deciding I may have been too harsh, I just don't like having to go through the process of returning something, waiting for my refund because I felt deceived. If you want a really nice toiletry bag made of beautiful fine leather, look elsewhere and expect to pay above the $50 mark.

Wonderful little bag!
This bag is a fantastic find. My husband needed a new one after an unfortunate incident with his old one. This one is cheaper than his original, better quality and larger! The leather is a nice, sturdy leather, thick enough to withstand travel. The doctors-bag style makes it easy to open and holds the shape while you're digging through. The bottom compartment alone stores all his shaving supplies and some additional items. The top is quite roomy and is actually slightly more room than he needs. The construction appears to be solid. The zippers seem sturdy.I'm thinking of ordering the black one for myself because I'm finding myself a bit jealous of it! The only way it would be better is if they have an overnight bag in a similar style so I could get a matching set.

Sturdy, but large!
I've only had travel bags that were rather tiny, and I guess in recent years I haven't realized how much shaving stuff I've collected switching over to traditional DE razors and shaving creams. I had lost my previous bags and needed a new one and found this; the bag is very good leather, the top opens great, the handle is awesome, both the top and bottom compartments are spacious, and if i had enough room in my carry on it could take up a sizeable space (filled with all my toiletries) but that said I'd rather have something sturdy and well built like this (the leather is rather stiff, we'll see if it loosens) than some rather small frail nylon bag.

"Amerileather" dyed in China?
I bought this toiletry bag about six months ago. The last bag I had was made up of some fake leather material that started flaking off after about a year of use. I was pleased to see that this large bag seemed to be tooled of real leather, with solid-looking zippers. The bag has gone on at least 3-4 trips, and had seemed to function well. That is until my last trip when I noticed that as it exposed to just plain old tap water (away and at home) on the surface of a bathroom sink, brown dye was coming off the thing (see accompanying photos). This is not something I now want to place among clothes in my luggage. As it will likely be a hassle to return, it will have to be trashed and my search for a decent toiletry bag will continue. Please notice the slightly disingenuous name of this product, “Amerileather.” A label inside the thing clearly states (see photo), “made in China.” Buyer beware.

Larger size is great to hold a variety of products
This replaces a very old vinyl version that my 22-year-old son had usurped from hubby. This one is better as 1. It's leather so shouldn't crack and 2. it has the lower compartment that will hold his electric shaver. This larger size might be a bit tougher to pack in a carry-on roll-aboard, but it is great to take on car trips to hold the large variety of "products" that he seems to need. :-)

Beautifully made
This leather shaving bag is beautifully made. The leather is soft and supple yet incredibly sturdy. Perfect for traveling. I love the "doctor's bag" opening and the roomy interior. There's a zip pocket and a mesh sleeve on the inside for those small items like nail clippers. The outside zip pocket is perfect for those items you are always reaching for during a hotel stay, and the lower zippered compartment adds even more room without being bulky.

Got this for xmas for my partner who is an avid traveller. He absolutely LOVED it. Some reviewers said that the extra large size was unexpected and unwelcome, but we found it ideal to hold all of his toiletries and multiple cologne bottles. It's appearance is very masculine, the craftsmanship is excellent, it is adequately roomy and seems very sturdy. Every trip we've taken since i bought it for him he has been proudly showing it off to friends and family. I fully endorse!

NOT GOOD FOR AIR TRAVEL
THIS IS HUGE. NOT GOOD FOR AIR TRAVEL. I bought it to use it as my main toiletry bag for travels. But it is so big it takes up more than 1/3 of the space in a carry-on (see pictures) or 1/6 of a 28" suitcase. The quality of the product seems OK. Delivery was slow. The seller has a bad return policy: they discount $4.95 of each item you buy plus delivery. Which means that if I wanted to return this I would lose $11 on a $41-purchase. To sum up: DO NOT BUY it if you want to use it for air travel, particularly if you do not want to check luggage. HOWEVER, if you plan to keep it home or in a large car, then this might be a good option for you.
