VELLOESN-DK23 Eyeshade for Select Nikon Cameras

Great for blocking out extraneous light.

PROS: Fits the viewfinder well. Quality material. Easy to rotate orientation.CONS: I initially thought it would be a good idea to have an oval eyeshade. After putting it on my camera I realized it doesn't work well going from landscape to portrait orientation; or alternating which eye I'm shooting with (which I didn't realize I change often).***The biggest issue with this eyeshade is how easy it comes on and off the camera. When the camera is on the strap around my neck, the eyeshade can come off just from moving around. I have to take the eyeshade off and keep it in my pocket in order to not lose it. A few times I've picked the camera back up to start shooting again only to realize the eyeshade is on the floor***No fault to the manufacturer. Just something to think about before ordering.I most likely will order a circular one in the future.

Initially fit my Nikon D610 well, rotated easily (while mounted) for landscape or portrait shooting. But then I took it on my camera for an extended out of the country trip with lots of shooting, camera in and out of my backpack often, lots of merely carrying my camera with the strap over my shoulder. The eyeshade loosened considerably after 2-3 days, then enough to fall off (and so get lost) just a day or 2 thereafter. A small zip tie would keep the thing secure, a black one would even look good, but for the price of the shade I don't think that should be necessary.

it is a good basic eyeshade, but unfortunately the slide on clip comes off too easily, thus recently I had the piece fall off during a shooting session and I lost it.

I like this eyeshade, and I am glad that I got it. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five, is that you have to be careful with it for it has a tendency to fall off when your moving the camera in and out of the car, or in and out of the camera case.
