Two major flaws!
Pros:-The light is pretty bright.-A nice variety of flashing patterns.Cons:-Minus 1 star for the very bright battery gauge lights that are on all the time. By themselves they will drain the battery in a day or two, and there's no way to turn them off other then to remove the battery. Better behavior would have been to show the battery level if you hold the button down.-The battery charger sucks. There is no reverse current protection. Once the battery is full the charger stops charging and the energy in the battery starts flowing back into the charger. The charger will not turn on again until you unplug it from the wall and plug it back in. You will notice that if you unplug the charger from the wall the green light stays on, because the charger is being powered by the battery! (facepalm!) As a result, what happens is that if you leave your battery on the charger until you ride, you will have an empty battery. They could have fixed this with a $0.01 1N4007 diode to prevent reverse flow and increasing the charging voltage by 0.7v to account for the forward voltage of the diode, or by including a mosfet that would have disconnected the charging line when the battery was full. If it wasn't for this problem I would have given the light 4 stars.

Best feedback: First time using it on an AM commute, a car brighted me for having the high beam shining at oncoming traffic
Ride 5x20 early am commuting miles each week, great light, great price. Showed it to a friend who just spent $120 on another bike light, and he said this was both brighter and obviously cheaper. No concerns with battery life at this point, but I am only using for up to 1.5 hrs each day and recharge the full night prior. Light and connector is solid.Do have to adjust the light periodically, as is mounted on metal aerobars with an industrial rubber band system provided with light -road vibrations can shift the light beam off target. (I have actually found this rubber band system to be beneficial, as I can partially swivel the light into oncoming traffic for increased visibilty) Headstrap system for helmet or non-bike use appears good, but I havent used. Would plan to buy again when needed.

I recommend buying a new battery along with it
This Headlight is a phenomenal deal.... Most lights around this this price range aren't rechargeable and are brighter than cars.I recommend buying a new battery along with it. I haven't yet... So the one that comes with it should definitely suffice. It lasts about an hour on its highest settings...**Warning** Very bright... Will hurt your eyes if you glance for too long... lol but serious about this. Think of the shotgun flashlights from bf3 but brighter.

Worked well until warranty period ended
After just over a year and maybe 10 rides at night total, my battery pack is not charging correctly. Out of warranty, bummer. It won't go past one bar on the indicator light. As others have mentioned, the charger seems to be a P.O.S. The light is extremely bright (I live where there are no street lights and this thing lights up the night) but does get very hot in use. The external battery pack is kind of annoying to attach to your bike, and you've got the extra cord from the light to the battery pack to manage. I'm debating whether to buy a new battery pack or just spend some more money on a light that is not as bright, but is designed better.

Poor quality item
Poor quality item. On a maximum it is likely to boil like a kettle even when riding a bike a chilly windy evening. The stock set of rechargeable batteries is also too poor — instead of the promised by description, on a maximum the torch performs not more than 1 hour, and this is summertime. So what about winter then?!I contacted the seller and told all the above mentioned to him. He said "that's OK, don't see any problems in the performance" and rejected my right of return. So thumbs down for the item and for the service.

Me Likey
So far so good.. about 3 weeks of use (3 days a week) using this for commuting to and from work.. When on the flash mode I have yet to run the battery dead.. on high mode seems like about 1.5 hours of run time.. low mode about 3.25 hours of run time.. I love how bright it is and the indicator of battery life.. Put one of these on my wifes bike and we will be using these for the night legs of the Rockwell relay in southern utah in 4 days..

These lights are great. I've been using them for two seasons now with zero problems. I have friends with very high end very expensive lights and they do put out more lumens but these have more than enough lumens to get the job done. The battery packs aren't the best and aren't sealed like the high end lights, but they're cheap enough to get a new one if decides not to cooperate. These lights are a great choice if you're just getting into night riding or if you've been doing it for years. You won't regret these lights. I only gave it four out of five stars because of the battery quality.

This light it AMAZING. It is much brighter than I expected and has good craftsmanship. It is very well built and well worth the money. It comes with a rechargeable battery back so you don't have to waste money on battery's. If you are looking for a cheap, very bright light, then this is the one. Also, did I mention that it comes with an attachment so you can use it as a headlamp? It is a great buy!

I own 3 of these, and just bought the fourth set.
The light itself hasn't changed since I bought my last 3 about 2 years ago( that's a good thing). The battery pack comes in a nylon pack with nice long Velcro straps that will strap it around bikes with thick frames, or very thin frames. The rubber adjustment clips(3 sizes), strap the light to your handle bars extremely well. It will NEVER, start moving or wobbling over rough ground. And, the absolute best part is the brightness of these lights. All brands claim so many lumens, and I don't have any kind of tester to check. They are BLINDINGLY BRIGHT! They have three levels of brightness, and a strobe to temporarily blind someone if you are using them with a headband to walk with. There is one more S.O.S. setting that has the light flash an S.O.S. signal. Some of the sets come with the really nice headband so you can use them while walking at night. BEWARE of the sets that don't come with a battery pack. I got nailed with one of those because I didn't read the list carefully. You assume the pack comes with it. Most do. They can run for a few hours on the highest setting. They are so bright, that I have cars flash their High beems at me to have me turn them down. If you aren't amazed with these, I will be shocked, and wonder how that can be. EVERY PERSON I GAVE A SET TO WAS AS BLOWN AWAY AS I am every time I use one. Best light I've ever seen. I'll never buy a different style of light.
