1/4-inch Quick Connect x 1/8-inch NPT Elbow CHECK VALVE Fitting for Membrane Housing

Thank goodness this solved the problem. Drain water finally stopped. The next replacement would've been the tank. Started off with replacing all filters including the membrane. Cleaned/sanitized all canisters and made sure all pipes where clean and connections were in the right places and secured properly. That didn't do it. So must be the ASV, opened it up and found the diaphram raptured. OK replace that. I thought that was it. Wrong. Check valve then. Blew on one end and it seemed OK. Well now what. Tank pressure is at 7 when empty. Full it was 40 and holding. So that was fine. Replace the stupid check valve anyway. Bingo. Apparently when they say blow into the check valve to test, you really need to blow very hard like your cheeks will give way. If some air, I mean a whisper of air goes through, that was enough not to engage the shut off valve (pressure will not build up) and let the drain water keep running. I hope not to go through this for at least 5 years.

My reverse osmosis system was running water down the drain constantly. Since I wasn't exactly sure which part was bad, I decided to buy a new auto shut off valve and a new check valve. I replaced the check valve first and bingo! no more waste water running constantly. Will save the ASO valve just in case it decides to go out later on down the road.The product arrived in two days instead of the projected three which was nice too.

Too small for my membrane housing, make sure to compare dimensions. My housing looks to be 1/4"

Thought it was my problem but got it and found out it was not so the old one was working. A youtube mistake.

The elbow came exactly as described and works great. I replaced this and the valve, and now my RO system has stopped leaking.

So far is working as intended, previous one (different style) was crap out and did constant vibration of shut of valve to prevent water to stop flowing to drain after retention tank was full.
