BORLA 11792 Axle-Back Performance Exhaust System for 2011-2014 Ford Mustang 3.7L V6 Automatic/Manual Transmission Coupe/Convertible.

The exhaust is definitely worth the upgrade. Before buying remember to look at the youtube videos of Roush vs. Borla to get a more definitive idea of how the two exhaust systems come together. I loved my Roush, but after putting sound dampening material, the two layer type, it droned horribly. I mean to where around the 2300 rpms of cruising up you would get a mean growl and everything vibrates. The downside was, you can't talk in the cab, even with the dampening material, and the buzzyness would drive you insane. This is coming from full length headers installed with baby cats. The new exhaust doesn't drone if you have the 2.73 gears, but wit the 3.55 at 75 right at 2100 it'll grumble, but no where near as bad as the Roush. It still sounds the same in retrospect to accelerating, but it doesn't have nearly as high pitch as the Roush did. So at 3000-7100 rpms while you casually pass a R/T, the Roush screamed and it sound like you left change in a blender while someone used glass as chalk on a chalkboard screaming norwegian polk music. The Borla has the 4-chamber design which shoots the sound away from the vehicle, so that's where the drone is decreased by 70% at least. I liked the Roush more than the Borla Atak, but to be honest, it just wasn't worth it. I like the huge tips the Borlas has, makes the car sorta tougher. The Roush has a single chamber design, which is like a folded sandwhich, so it resonates within the chamber, making that ear piercing joy the neighbors will hate. Also as a side not, for the love of God, please don't lower your Stang. I did a baby drop of 1.5 inches, and have regretted more than my decision to not write this review. Amazon, you guys rock! This seller does too since the shipped it the day after 4 p.m. so, it came in earlier so at least you know these people care about me adding more parts to my car feeding the Mustang frenzy that runs through our veins. The 1.5 drop will bang you around more than your ex girlfriend, and more than you want to. I changed to bigger wheels, and it made it worse. Konis don't help, so don't believe any of that garbage. I'd add sturt tower brace and sway bars if I could do it over again. Used Brembos are the way to go! Other than that, the install was a breeze. Thanks for you time, I hope this review helps in deciding to annoy the neighbors or complete your ride to the cruiser it was meant to be.

It was obvious that the exhaust I received had been used and returned. It was beat up and scratched in various places. The chrome tips were fine however, so I didn't return them because that's all that really mattered to me.Sound- pretty awesome. When it's in idle it sounds exactly like a V8. However, when you step on it, it sounds more like a foreign supercar rather than a muscle car.(still sounds good though)The clamps- On some mustangs the clamps you'll need are welded onto the stock exhaust. No need for cutting tools, just bend it back and forth until it breaks off the weld.Installation- The drivers side exhaust is a bit of a tetris game, due to less room than on the passenger side. At first it seems like it wont even fit, but just have patience and try different methods. As for the passenger exhaust, you may have to bend the steel hangars a little to get it centered correctly. (I've seen many customer photos of it just sagging)All in all a great product. Bought them on Amazon because of the low price. They are much more expensive everywhere else including the popular "American Muscle" website. Also, as you have read in the other reviews, these are just the axle-backs, not the cat-backs like amazon says.

Very satisfied!! I thought it will take at least a week for the shipping but it took only one day!!The install was easy too. It took less than an hour.Most importantly, the sound is insane. Mine is a 2012 mustang v6 and as soon as I installed it, my car became a GT.I was thinking to do Flowmaster too but if you want an aggressive sound, go for Borla. The sound is just insane.Also, don't be confused of the title of this item. Borla #11792 is an axle-back exhaust system not the cat-back exhaust system as it is written.

Rated as 3/5 stars due to condition upon delivery. One of the mufflers was clearly a used/returned product. The chrome on the exhaust-end was chipped all the way through to the base of the metal, almost exactly in the spot where it would have exited a car's rear valance. There was also oil/grease on the outside of the engine-facing-end of the muffler which shouldn't be there on a new product. I called Amazon customer service on Sunday morning and was greeted by a very understanding customer service representative who made the return process very simple for me. A few weeks after that, I ended up trading up from my V6 Mustang to a 2011 GT. I then ordered Borla 11789 S-Types through Amazon, which is an amazing product, and I couldn't be happier now.

Bought for a 2011 Mustang V6. Installation was average difficulty. Some swearing was required on getting the support rods to go through the hangers.The sound is quiet, deep, and rumbly at idle. Under part throttle, it is loud enough in the cabin that it is hard to have a conversation on a speaker phone. At full throttle, you can't heat the radio unless you really crank it up. Not complaining, it's just like I like it, but some may find it too loud for everyday use.

30 minutes a side to install..... driving normal these aren't loud to me....when you put your foot in the gas petal it sounds great.....sound isn't like a true v-8...hard to explain kinda between a NASCAR and indy car combined ......but it turns heads when you hit the gas also its not a cat-Back ....there just the mufflers but are a good price and thats all i wanted

Excellent product! Borla backs it with a 1,000,000 mile warranty... Don't be fooled by the "Cat-Back" in the item title... but go by the 11792 which clearly shows its their axle-back system. Almost the same but without the connecting mandrel bent pipes back to the X-pipe. Not a big deal tho, as you can use stock! Sounds amazing and Amazon truly has the best price out there!

At first didn't know what to expect from this exhaust put the moment you install this boy do they sound loud .I would recommend it for anyone looking for an exhaust it's a pit expensive put well worth it.
