Thorne Research - Uristatin - Support for a Healthy Urinary Tract - 60 Capsules

My natural doctor prescribed this for me after complaining about my UTIs (i get about 2 a year). I was taking antibiotics but he insisted I try this natural supplement. Since I kept getting really bad ones that led to kidney infections I decided to try Uristatin after not being able to go to the ER. And...Wow! This stuff actually works! I took double the dose for the 1st day along with a pain killer (I had to bc of the pain) but then the normal dose following that. The product stops the bad bacteria dead in its tracks. Of course I laid off caffeine & any alcohol and ate really clean in the mean time but this stuff is a miracle and for the price, it's the best product I've ever tried for UTIs.

Uristatin was prescribed to me by a naturopath in combination with D-Mannose (I use NOW brand powder) and FemEcology probiotics for recurrent, frustrating UTIs over two decades and many, many rounds of antibiotics. I used the combination regularly for close to a year, but now only start the protocol if I feel my system getting out of whack. I have not had a UTI for nearly five years now, and I’m convinced that the combination of supplements has brought my bladder ecosystem back into balance. I, personally, would not suggest trying to thwart an active bladder infection with supplements, as it could advance to a kidney infection with dire consequences. But these supplements, begun while I was on antibiotics for my last bladder infection, have stopped the crazy-making UTI cycle.

I suffered from recurrent bladder infections for 18 months before I went to a naturopath, who recommended Uristatin. I soon found that it worked best for prevention. I take it whenever I am at risk for developing a bladder infection. I don't wait until I actually have symptoms. At the time that I saw the doctor, I had a kidney infection, which required antibiotics. But three weeks after getting off the antibiotics, I had another bladder infection, and I knew it was time to take it seriously. I did lots of research and spent a year experimenting with different supplements. Here's my protocol for prevention.I take 2 capsules of Uristatin, 3 times a day for the first 24 hours whenever there is a risk of developing a bladder infection. I also take Now brand mannose powder, 1 teaspoon every 3 hours, and Jarrow brand lactoferrin (2 capsules twice a day). I take LivOn Labs liposomal vitamin C every day, along with Olivus brand olive leaf extract. I also take 2 homeopathic remedies recommended by my homeopathic doctor.This protocol works for my body. Everyone is different, so I can't say what will work for you. But my naturopath says that Uristatin works for most of his patients, and it may be the most effective part of my protocol.

My body has terrible reactions to antibiotics so, when i was prescribed cepro, I went into panic mode. I did online research and started taking D-Mannose and apple cider vinegar (so gross) with a little relief. A few days later I contacted a friend of mine who works for a holistic dr and she suggested this... I took it with. D-Mannose, dropped the Apple cider vinegar and my UTI was gone within 3 or 4 days. I kept taking it until the bottle was gone to be safe.

I first began using this product about 13 years ago when it was for physician prescriptions only. My Naturopathic MD recommended it, and I have been using almost ever since he first prescribed it, but then he had to move out of state due to a family health crisis. At that point it became difficult to purchase it via a doctor ... But I'm thrilled that I can now purchase the product via online orders w / o having to go through a physician, and that I can get back on track with the daily dose I need for keeping my one remaining kidney functioning at the lower end of what most people's kidneys work when there are two functioning kidneys. My yearly post-op lab test results, since having my left kidney removed 13 years ago due to renal cancer, shows that my kidney functions at the lower range level for a person with two kidneys, and I certainly do believe it's because of using the, Thorne Uristatin.

Have been using for at least a year. Sadly, Thorne is no longer going to manufacture this. - not profitable for them - is their reason!!!!!

Directions suggested: 3 capsules two to three times daily and you got only 60 pills in the bottle just enough for 10 days or less. Too expensive to continue with this product.
