Good work pants
I got these for my dad and he uses them for work. They're good quality material without being too heavy. He said they're super comfortable and have great sized pockets. I bet they'd be great for daily wear too, not just work.

a good old-school pant
what this pant has going for it:* made of 100% cotton duck* made of 0% anything else* broad color selection rather than just "brown or black"* straight stitch construction on the inside leg seam (versus a triple-stitched flat-felled inside seam. i explain my rationale below.)why each of these was an important factor to me:nylon, poly, and flex materials are more prone to unsightly pilling in high-wear areas. flex materials specifically (spandex, elastane, etc) will eventually wear out within a couple years resulting in a slouchy fit.cotton duck OTOH is widely regarded as both being more resilient, but at the same time, lighter, than denim. much like those popular duck cotton work jackets, these pants are so stiff that they can basically stand up on their own when new. but like high quality shoes, i expect them to take on a wonderful patina and softness as they get broken in.the straight stitch inside leg seam means that someone like me, who really only knows how to do straight and zig-zag machine stitches, can easily and cleanly tailor the legs into a slightly slimmer, tapered modern cut if you so desire.while not having triple-stitched seams on both the inside and outside seems like a quality downgrade, i have never owned a pair of pants that gave out on the inside seam, so this is a worthwhile compromise for me.specifics of fit and construction that may work for me but not for you:this is a fairly mid to high-rise pant. they sit at my belly button, which i find more comfortable than lower rise pants that sit more on the hips. i found they fit pretty well through the seat and thigh (stocky leg day physique), but i did slightly slim up the legs from the knee down for a more tailored, neat look.i will fess up to being a "blue collar cosplayer" who intends to wear these for general use rather than rugged jobsite work, as i can't justify spending $100 or more on a fashion offering that adds inflated cost by branding itself as a "vintage" design. thus, i cannot give any meaningful feedback on the resilience of this fabric. but it feels of equivalent quality to every major duck chore/field coat out there.anyway, if you're looking for what should be a long-lasting piece, in a synthetic-free fabric, give these a shot. especially if you have an affinity for clothes that actually get better with more wear.

Good work pants.
I have owned probably 8 pairs of these over the last 4 years. In general they have been good to wear. I am hard on pants due to the work I do as well as my overall build, so I have tried a lot of different types. The black color are by far my favorite as they seem to hold up the best, with the chocolate brown being a close second. You cant give everything a perfect score though. I have noticed that between colors and variations, the sizing tends to differ a lot. I have put an older pair of these up against a brand new pair and have seen as much as a 2" difference in the waist and the length. They also have pretty poor zippers that tend to get jammed up easily and will rip teeth out. I have also had a hard time keeping the crotch from ripping out of these, but it only seems to happen on certain colors.Overall, I will continue to buy these and wear them until the fall apart.

Love what I ordered from Amazon
Ordered 2 pair on Amazon about a year ago, (38x34) I'm 6'4" 255lbs. They DO NOT hug or bind me anywhere, comfortable loose fit from waist to ankle, fantastic for working in. I absolutely love them. At home I'm working on a classic car,.. so,.. I do alot of crawling around on the shop floor, bending , kneeling, welding, grinding. I'm buying just 1 more pair right now to ensure they are still the same,...BECAUSE, my boss ordered me 6 more pair directly from Dickies a week after I recieved these,.. the exact same pants, same tags,.. but all 6 were un-useable, tight waist, tight thighs, can't even get my hands in the front pockets, completely different cut even tho they were marked/labeled exactly the same. Only difference is, what I got from Amazon was made in Mexico, what my boss ordered directly from Dickies was made in Kenya.so, point being,... this particular item here on Amazon appears to be sourced from Mexico and has a fantastic cut/fit if you prefer your pants to be more on the loose side of the scale, and look at your "Made In" tags when you recieve them , different production sources are apparently not working with the same cut dies. Hope this helps.UPDATE: just received 2 more pair, and yes they’re the same as I ordered a year ago, going to order 2 more. Absolutely love these, 2 green, 1 brown, 1 sand/beige, all the same cut, all made in Mexico.Have 6 made in Kenya, 1 made in China (none of these were purchased from this particular “ad” not were they purchased from Amazon, and all 7 are horrible….. hope this ridiculously long review helps.

Theyre ok
They feel a little closer to denim than I was hoping. Most ,if not all of the holding power is in the beltline/waist area. Where a belt would go (no belt included) So its a firm snug fit at the belt line & fairly loose everywhere else , which after a few hours isnt that comfortable. But it could just be my build. They dont feel very breathable, but the real test will be at work out in the sun for hours. Will update accordingly. So far they remind me of a relaxed fit pair of Jeans,so far.

Great pants
These are excellent pants, and are fraction of the cost of carh$^$s. Very heavy fabric, good solid stitching, and a comfortable fit.

Seem like nice pants
My pair of these just arrived. Tried them on and they seem nice. Ordered them with a 34 inch waist and they actually have a 34 inch waist, which is fabulous (other pants I've bought recently in a 34 inch waist have actually had a 36 inch waist, which really frustrates me). These are made out of proper, stiff, durable-feeling canvas, which may not be to everyone's liking, but I personally see it as a positive as a lot of pants nowadays feel like they're made out of table cloth fabric. The fact they're stiff also means they can be cuffed at the bottoms without the fear of the cuffs unravelling. These are a bit higher waisted than what I'm used to, but it's not a problem. It's just something new to me. Also, as another reviewer pointed out, if you buy these in desert sand, they are darker than what is shown in the pictures. Instead of being a greyish beige, they're more of a khaki. Personally, I'm happy with the colour of them, but they really should update the pictures to better reflect the colour you can expect when your pair arrives. As for fit, it's a pretty standard relaxed fit. If you've ever worn a pair of Levi's 550's, the fit of these will be familiar to you. Not baggy, not tight. The fit is just right... Hey, I'm a poet and I didn't even know it :D
