Good and useful device ...
So, I bought the endoscope so that I could have a nosey down the shower drain for ring I lost recently ...All excited, open the package and it's got a USB to Micro USB adapter with it, no good for my OnePlus 7 as that's USB-C, I do a search of the whole house for an adapter, no joy and Amazon can't get one to me til Saturday, too long a wait I think (even though it's really not). So, I dig out my old Nexus 4 and 6 phones, both as flat as farts, both take an age to charge and power on. The Nexus 4 wins the race so I download the endoscope app and plug it in only to then remember that the Nexus 4 doesn't support OTG so over to the Nexus 6, app installed, endoscope plugged in and nothing, and then something, and then nothing, the bloody charging port is buggered. So Chromebook time, no available app, at this point I wanted to hang myself but then while looking at the Chromebook, I noticed the USB-C hub that was plugged into it which I then attached to my Oneplus 7, spent 30 mins finding an app that would work with the endoscope (Endoscope OTG on Play Store) and all was working as it should ....Only to stick the camera down the shower drain to find not a lot going on down there cos I can't work out how the bloody drain works, there doesn't appear to be a downpipe to push the endoscope into !!!!I did find an interesting amber coloured blob though ... My ring may have melted, somehow, or maybe it's not it at all lol.All in all, a good buy but key points, the supplied adapter is for older phones and the app recommended on the instructions (Inskam) didn't work for me so give Endoscope OTG a go before moving on to other apps. If you need a really clear view from the endoscope, spend a bit more but for me the view the endoscope have was adequate :-)

Picture quality is completely useless
Picture quality is so poor that it is impossible to make out even basic shapes, I was trying to use this thing as a guide when pulling cables through blind hole, but it was impossible to see anything. LEDs sounds like great idea, but this poor quality camera has so low low light sensitivity it was impossible to see anything in the dark like 10cm away. I had LEDs on the max brightness all the time and they would illuminate like 20mm in front maximum. Overall, the LEDs are not that bright e.g. smartphone flash in comparison is like 10 times brighter at the same time cameras performance in the dark is very poor as well, so you cannot see much in front.Image quality becomes slightly better for extreme close range - it seems is focused at ~5-10mm. As I was using cable pulling rod attached to the camera to get it where I wanted it to goI have noticed, that if I let the rode extend maybe 10-20mm it helps camera to focus onto something and it was slightly better, but still far from what I would call useful.Note: you will need some third party software to use it on either android or windows, optionally on windows you can disable built in camera (if you laptop has one) and then windows will use next available thing which would be this camera.

Good for the price
Note this only works on a windows PC or Android phone with mini USB connector.App loaded OK on my old motorola android phone and was easy to use.USB connector wasn't that tight so kept falling out and crashing the app. Loaded software on my laptop from supplied disc as couldn't understand website download. Better for the bigger screen.Used to inspect 5m high vent pipe and cable too flexible so strapped it to a 5m steel rule and it went up fine. Achieved the aim which was to inspect the pipe for blockage and see where water was getting in.Great gadget for the price.

Doesn't work android.
Tried to use on Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and a Samsung s9 using the micro usb- USB c adapter but neither phone even registered there was a connected device. Also the camera never lit up showing no power. It did connect to the laptop which I was able to use ( albeit carrying the laptop with me) but as I needed this quick and used it I can't return.Picture quality is 'meh'. OK enough for general use buy wouldn't recommend for exact work.Don't get this if you need it to worm on a phone.

Bargain bit of kit
First off, this has got 5 stars for the price and usefulness, not the picture quality. The item arrived complete with accessories and a micro USB OTG cable. This is ok for older phones, but you'll need a USB type C OTG if you have a more recent phone. I had one already, so no problem.I used the camerafi app, which isn't great, but is free. And it came straight on with no issues.Picture quality is ok, you can identify what your looking at, but your not going to win any awards with the photos. But for £10 what do you expect!I used it for chasing wires in the caravan, which it was perfect at. The 7 meter cable is just rigid enough to move through gaps, but bendy enough to go round corners.I would have no hesitation sticking it down drains or in an engine, at this price. You'll identify what you need to look at, and if it dissolves or falls to pieces, who cares, it's ten quid. The lights are bright and can be turned down if needed.Quite honestly, you can't go wrong.

Awlful product that failed after 2 minutes of use
The camera is a standard OTG camera so make sure you phone supports OTG. The image quality of this camera is very bad especially under the light of the contained LEDs. The focal length is about 6 inches so any closer the image is blurred so not very good for confined spaces. The wire is flexible which is great but also impossible to control the lens after more than 50cm of wire inserted. The wire could be fixed to some stiff wire (coat hanger) to help with this but either way it would be really optimistic to think you would ever use the full 5m of wire and see anything meaningful The camera failed after about 2 minutes of use. The cable connection the USB A connector was not secure and the outer wire casing had retracted to show the wires contained within which had then pulled loose.
