It's a good bet.
I have macular degeneration (like many older persons), and have a disposition for a detached retina, due to a fall two years ago. I was sent to a retinal specialist, who found I had a "bulge in my retina, and who initially put me on a 3-month examination schedule; and then a 6 month examination period. He recommended the normal "I-Reds? something dosages and I found that, PLUS vitamins in the ICaps Lutein Enriched (above) med. It's also cheaper than the "I-Reds" formula. I have maintained my original diagnosis so far, and several other physical maladies have improved due to the vitamin supplements. (I am 67 years old). There's no miracle cure, but I haven't gotten any worse, and my eyesight has improved (due to what my doctor said was a "honeymoon" period between when my cataracts have started "correcting" my myopia, and the time I will need cataract surgery).

Good Price
I love the formula for the MV version, because I smoke and there is no beta carotene. (Smokers have a higher risk of macular degeration, but betaC increases risk of cancer for us.) Have purchased about 3 orders of 3 bottles. Best price I could find every time I shopped: AC. It is a reputable company, so I don't have to wonder if I am getting counterfeit pills. That's always nice.

These vitamins are helping to save my eyesight
I started taking these vitamins a couple of years ago on recommendation of my ophthalmologist because I have optic nerve damage and some resulting vision loss. I have also seen a neuro-ophthalmologist, and she agrees that I should take them. Both doctors also recommend omega-3 fatty acids (I'm taking flaxseed oil). I just had a checkup last week, and my vision has actually improved a little. The only downside is you're supposed to take four vitamins per day, which I do, but it can get pricey. I'd rather cut back spending on something else and get these vitamins to help my vision as much as possible.

Opthamolagist recommended
The main negative about this vitamin is that it requires 4 tablets per day to meet daily requirements. No big deal but it is always easier to take one and be done with it. That being said I will continue to take them because I value my eyes and I do have glacoma and will do anything to protect my vision .I have a very good eye doctor so when he said take these vitamins I will certainly take them.

Healthy all around.
These are good multiple vitamins that may directly help the eyes. They have a balanced content of all the vitamins plus extra coverage for eye problems. Doctors, who don't usually push vitamins with many of their patients, promote the use of MultiVitamin I-Caps. We're talking about the activity of eye specialists and retinologists.
