This product is very affective as a black in colour hair gel which is a excellent cover up for thinning hair especially around the hairline while keeping hair in place for hours

Good if you need to touch up small thinning areas, is a true black colour which is perfect. Nice light texture and fragrance.

I've bought this twice now feeling the first one may have been bad. But when I apply this gel within 20 minute its disappeared! It looks great when first applied, looks smooth and holds. Would love to show a time lapse on this as you'd never believe I just applied any gel... am I doing something wrong? Not only does it disappear, but does not hold edges after 20 minutes and doesn't seem to dry and remains sticky all day in my 4c hair. This is twice purchased with same results. Won't purchase again, but great idea if it worked and seems to work well for others. I only purchased for the grey coverage, as there are better edge controls on the market. Back to hunting for something that works.

This is good in the sense that it holds your hair. However, it came with about 1/3 of the content left in the container with stains on the side. Also, when it dries down, it looks obvious that I have applied something on my edges, like black flakes. The black colour also stains my bonnet. It's OK but I would neither buy this again nor recommend it

Liked the way it covered my greys at the front and kept the edges from curling up. Great buy

First of all, I want to say African Pride always does an amazing job. I will not live without their Braid and Lock Twist Gel. Not only does it slick down edges that are hard or unruly, but it also gives the hair a nice silky appearance without looking like plastic. When I saw this product, I decided to try it because I now have gray around my temples. I absolutely love this product and will not be without it either. It is now another staple along with my Braid Lock and Twist Gel from African Pride. This doesn’t look like shoe polish on the hair. It looks so natural and is easy to apply, with the same ease as the Braid Lock and Twist Gel. Kudos to African Pride for always bringing us products that are not only good value but also high quality. These products make life easier for those bad hair days when you want to look presentable but don’t have a lot of time. This product is easy to use, very pliable, and not tacky or sticky. The color doesn’t come off or transfer onto pillows or other things. I love this and will continue to buy it.
