Perfect size for Starlink
I used this to cover up the hole for the Starlink cable. You need to drill a fairly large hole to get the Starlink cable connector through, and this thing nicely covers/seals that hole. Really nice quality and the cap is a bonus shiny object.

Fine product if you need to drill a hole in your hull and seal it.
I used two of these (inside and outside) for running a transducer cable through my boat and from all the things i have found on the net - these here match my specific use the best.Quality is good - they are designed in a way that you can run your thick transducer plug and still have them tight to your cable. The materials look sturdy enough to stand the test of time.So far nothing leaks through (i used marine silicone to seal things up and did not rely on the gaskets included, and obviously drilled above the waterline). After two months - i am still very happy i found them!

Easy to install and clean looking
I don't know how well the shiny cover will hold up in the salt water nor do I know if it will stay on long term (the cover snaps into place using indented tabs around its base) but this thing looks great and seems to get a good seal for above the water line applications. It let's you have a hole large enough to run a transducer connector through but then has the insert to set down on the cable and help get a seal. I filled the hole and the insert with silicone rubber flexible stuff so I could remove it and run a different transducer cable if that time should come. There is no inboard sealing insert so you will have to fashion something up yourself if the area will routinely see water on the inboard side. Use a diamond hole cutting bit to avoid chipping the gel coat.

Works great for a cable entry on my cabin
The cellular signal level inside my cabin is low with some dead spots so I installed a cellular signal booster. Unfortunately, the coaxial cables that come with the booster have "N" type connectors on them, requiring that I drill a 1-inch hole through the outside wall to route the cable to inside. Looking for a solution to weather seal the hole I purchased this Blue Sea Systems Side Entry CableClam with Stainless Steel Dress Cap.There's not much to say other than it was the perfect solution. Since I'm not in a marine environment, I expect it will last forever. It looks nice, covers the 1-inch hole, and the rubber gasket seals out the weather. I'm pleased with my purchase.

Fitting cap over plastic plate may be a problem
I also purchased one that passes connector through the middle because at this stage I don't know where my cable will be better placed. In comparing the two products, I found the other to be more precisely designed allowing stainless steel cap just enough tension to snap into place while this one seems to be mismatch and may require some hammering to put together making a potential mess in case you have to take it out.Fitting the cap over plastic plate may be a problem, otherwise good product that is low profile and prevents having to cut cable and reinstalling the connector.

This was perfect for my needs
This was perfect for my needs.I had a Stainless Steel clam shell on before I found this one.The Clam Shell let to much water in to the bilge. This " Cable Clam " is almost 100% water tightafter I added a small dab of silicon around the hole that the cable goes through.Looks great on my old boat .It was worth a few extra dollars to get some thing water tight and good looking.

Awesome
These things sealed perfectly, look great, and were the correct size for the bulky wires of today’s new sonar units.

Good but outrageously expensive
Haven’t found anything better, I guess that’s why they can charge so much for it.
