PCS1 Flo Stainless Steel Reusable Oil Filter

It’s hard to get a full understanding as to how well-built by the pictures but they are beefy. The filter is a bit small but I’m guessing they are efficient enough. I have noticed that my motorcycle seems to run quieter with this filter installed. I’m looking forward to saving the money on filters bc this filter can be cleaned. The thing I like is you can put a socket on the end to remove it. The placing of this filter on my motorcycle makes this feature so amazing.

I was not expecting this thing to be so beautifully machined. I noticed another negative comment and just expected a hunk of aluminum that fits a stainless steel filter. I bought this knowing Amazon has a good return policy. When it arrived I was very impressed with the quality that went into the machining and assembly of this filter. If you intend on keeping your bike for any length of time and change your oil regularly, this is the environmentally responsible way to filter your oil. Also it will save you some money in the long run. Compare this price to 10 K&N or HiFlo filters and you start to see serious savings after.

I have a oil temp gauge and it indicates a drop of 5 degrees in oil temp. It's easy to clean and the gasket provided lasts a long time (No need to change at every oil change).

I purchased this oil filter and housing for $$$$ and it does not fit as the site states. Looks like it could be a good product but seller sticks. When I emailed the company no response at first but when Amazon got involved it did not matter. They want me to pay to have it returned. When I purchased it the approval was 96% as I look now 85%. I have seen this before. Ripoff.

Simplicity of design and superior billet stainless steel used make the FLO PCS1 an outstanding reusable racing oil filter. The FLO PCS1 filter also includes an extra flat surface rubber gasket and two product stickers in the box. Additional oil filter gaskets are also available online for around $5 each. I suspect they will last through several changes each if prepared and torqued down sufficiently. It looks great installed on the bike.The stated fitment for my motorcycle was correct. It was easy to install with a 17mm torque socket wrench to about 15-20 ft. lbs. This FLO filter also acts as an oil cooler by clever design. Using the same 10W-40 oil as before, my engine temperature gauge showed about a -10% heat reduction in idle heat while in traffic and about -15% reduction in engine heat at highway cruising speeds (and above). That was impressive to me.Every performance cruiser, especially those primarily air-cooled, could benefit from a FLO oil filter on the street or at the drag strip. It has a claimed filtering flow rate via an internal 35 micron mesh component, nearly 7 times greater than conventional paper oil filters, which includes magnetic pre-filtering. Well-worth it in my opinion.

This is a quality built item. The only issue I had was with the magnet that was not properly glued (epoxy). It may have been caused by the fact that the magnet is polished so there is little for the glue to hold on and the glue applied was not enough so the contact surface with the glue was further reduced. I scratched both the magnet and the filter surface to make sure the bond will not fail again while on the engine.I would suggest that the design be modified and the magnet to be retained by deforming the edges of the hole it sits in. This way the magnet will go nowhere. I could have done this myself if not for the filter screen being attached on the underside. I did not want to risk damaging it. This needs to be done during production before the screen is glued.One star off for the magnet otherwise this would be a solid 5 star product.For the record I installed this on a Yamaha R1 2001.

This filter seems to be just perfect for my Yamaha Bolt. Fits perfectly with no leaks and does indeed seem to make the engine run a tiny bit cooler. As a bonus it is really cool looking. Should save me a lot of money in the long run since I won't have to buy a new filter for every oil change.

Item is solid, I mean SOLID. Beautifully machined. Identical specs as the higher priced K&P. Design is nearly identical to the K&P. I do like the 17mm bolt head on the cap, much easier to use. It looks great on the motorcycle, though you will have put your face on the ground to see it on my Victory.BTW, though they aren't listed, this filter will fit all Victorys since the beginning of Victory time, 1999.
