Suzuki S-64C Sirius Chromatic 16-Hole 64-Note Harmonica, Cross Alignment

Explained that Shipping to UK would incur an extra expense (was still far cheaper than any UK retailer!). Item arrived promptly and sealed in the case (so I knew it was brand new). The instrument is great. I've played the other Sirius' in the range but this has the nicest sound and weight. The company also included a coin and a lovely Japanese proverb which was very sweet. I'm a happy customer.

I had ordered a new Sirius 64. It got lost in the mail (sent from Japan). After verifying refund, I decided to order again - this time a “used like new condition”. It arrived within days. I tested it, and even though it looked like new, and had good tone, it leaked air like a sieve. I am experienced with the chromatic harmonica. I have other Suzukis - they don’t leak air, and I love them. I thought the Sirius would be a nice addition to my arsenal. Now, will I order another Sirius? I don’t think so. I lost faith in this particular one, and I am returning it pronto. Buy the less expensive Chromatix 48 & 64. They sound great!A REVISION: I am changing my review to 4 stars. Reason for my earlier one star was due to the defective harmonica sent me. Before returning it I decided to look closely at the source of leak, and it was in the middle range. I took a great risk, and gradually put a slight bend in the mouth piece, and low & behold I stopped the leak. Now I can say it is very easy to play, it has a clear tone, and I am enjoying it!

There is no need for adding more positive adjectives for the high quality of Sirius 16 hole chromatic harmonica. I hear some rattling noises from first few notes but much much better than the first unit I received from Amazon-Tokyo. I had to return it but this second one is nearly perfect. I’m keeping it. Over the years, I have seen many other 16 hole harmonicas with rattling noises in the low notes. It’s not the end of the world situation.

I like this harmonica very much it has a beautiful tone, especially at the law register. I’m a dietonic player so it’s heavy for me. Something to get used to.

I don't even know what to say at this point. This is the second Suzuki harmonica i've bought in a short time frame and both have been packaged awfully, defective, and one of which was clearly used before and not even cleaned. I dont doubt that this is a good harmonica if you don't get one of the used broken pieces of junk amazon keeps recycling in their inventory. If you truly want this harmonica buy it somewhere else, though I will be avoiding Suzuki from now on entirely
