This product, while sturdy looking comes without any template, guide or installation instructions. When I called the manufacturer, Protex Safe Co. at 626-334-7233, the guy chuckled and said they don't have anything to provide. I told him that was poor and they needed to fix that, and he hung up on me. Looking for YouTube videos. Regardless, I suspect I can figure it out. However, it shouldn't be so difficult to have a manufacturer provide installation information.

I would give this product 5 stars but it came with no instructions at all. It shipped prompt and was well packaged. Would recommend. On the installation I found that the inside slot (the side of the wall where the box is mounted) is below the outside slot by an amount equal to the complete wall thickness (outside to outside). Would recommend.

There are no instructions included for this product. Also, there is no contact information for the seller or manufacturer. If I don't get ahold of someone, product is going BACK.

When the door started falling off of our 12 year old metal rent dropbox from HD Supply, I decided it was about time to replace it with something sturdy, secure, and new. This protex is very nice. Sturdy build and love the security feature that prevents pulling out checks from the outside. It's an added security feature that gives my residents who are concerned about that kind of thing some assurance.

Water leaks into the box. Not okay with customer payments in there!! It is sturdy, don't think anybody is breaking into it. Just don't use it on an outside wall without making sure it is sealed very well somehow. Also, it was impossible to cut the wall properly for it to fit because of diagonal part. We figured it out however but we damaged the wall around it.

It’s sturdy but the slot is small and doesn’t allow much mail. Unfortunately, our mail gets stuck. The mailman leaves everything that doesn’t fit in the box on our stoop. It’s a disaster. Mail all over the yard. I do Not recommend

This is a quality product, heavy-duty and very secure. The only downside is that there is no insulation, or movable barrier, in the chute to prevent cold air from getting through. Obviously, it can't be over-sealed or the mail couldn't get in. However, a plastic flap, or something like it, would have be a nice improvement.

I had it professionally installed into a wall but it looks exactly as described. High quality box with locking door and its design makes it impossible for someone from the outside to fish something out. I will be buying again for future needs.

Excellent quality and very useful

The product arrived quickly and is very sturdy material. We had it installed and it works great. The only flaw is that if there is rain and wind blowing on that exterior wall, it leak in around the hinge, , so I would not recommend it for an outdoor wall. We did not have a choice due to our office design.

The mailbox is for a wall-go-thru, nicely built it, solid, sturdy and it adjust to a wall thickness. The box goes on on side of the wall and mailbox chute (were you put the envelope ) on the other side of the wall. The two pieces interlap with each other. Great product.

Good quality box but like everyone warned about, there’s a metal lip that catches thicker envelopes. Before you install this, get an angle grinder and remove it and sand it down. Once it’s installed it’s too hard to do.
