Good price, keeps my iron working well.
I've been using a gravity feed iron for my work for years. Mineralizer is needed to remove the minerals from the water. This is a wonderful product, easy to use--just dump it in the cleaned jug for the iron that has been filled with clean water, hang the jug, and you're good to go. Do follow the manufacturer's directions for changing out the mineralizer. My iron gets a lot of use, so I always keep an extra packet on hand to change out about every six months or when needed.

Cost Effective Alternative
First time I ordered this demineralizer for my gravity iron. I usually get the one already made in a plastic tube ready to be connected. It can get expensive to replace but my concern was more the disposal of the plastic container. I emptied the older one and tested the filtering beads (bulk) of this bag instead. At first I had some leaking of water from the original plastic container, that was because it needed to be tighter. Afterwords the demineralizer beads worked perfectly. The filtering solution seems to last long. I iron a lot, on an average of 3 times a month, with iron on hot steam for hours. I would say 6 hours total. The steam is clean and the filtering compound seems to do a good job so far. One bag can fill 3 containers of the Sapporo demineralizer. Very cost effective overall and works well without leaving spots on sheets. The result is a professional press finish.

A great price and no shipping fees with Prime
I have a wonderful gravity-feed steam iron I bought from WAWAK. When I wanted to purchase a replacement de-mineralizer, I found the shipping to be more than the de-mineralizer itself. So of course I turned to Amazon. Found this brand, on Prime so no shipping, and bought a bunch so I would always have it on hand. My last batch lasted about a year and a half before it wore out, so I expect this one will last about the same. I do have to wonder how old it was when it arrived, since some of the crystals inside the plastic bag it arrived in are already turning amber. Maybe that's the way they always are. I always use either filtered water (using a PUR filter) or distilled water in my iron, so I expect the de-mineralizer lasts longer that way. You can use regular tap water, too, though the directions on the iron state that the de-mineralizer will need to be changed out more often if you do.

I've had this mineraliser for over a year now. I have only filled my filter once and have used my iron a decent amount. I run filtered water through just to avoid issues. I haven't seen any change to the colors and have had zero issues with my iron. I'd buy this again given the cost of non-refillable filters. Worth the time and effort to clean and fill the filter.
