This was a great second book to this series!
This was a great second book to this series! I was drawn in from the first page and could not stop reading. It definitely left me wanting more, and I can't wait for the next book, even if it is the conclusion to the series. The only complaint I have is that the story ends at 86%, then the rest of the book is the prologues and first two chapters of Stormwielder and Rebirth. I'm all for an author promoting their other series, but this seemed to be a little much. I was hoping for more of Shield of Winter, and when I turned the page at 85% to see I was already at the epilogue, it was disappointing that the story was over already.

Awesome!
This is the second book of Legends of the Gods and flows seamlessly from the first book. With an intricate plot and twists you don't see coming, I couldn't stop reading until the last page! I am totally invested in the characters and storyline. Devon the ex soldier seeking redemption. Alana and Braidon, siblings trying to understand who they really are. The Tsar who wants more power and control of all the magic in the land. This book was extremely well done and I can't wait for the next book!

Devon reminds me of Conan the Barbarian!
The author once again grabs you with a journey to escape the Tzar. Alana is captured by the Stalkers and taken back to the citadel where she learns the truth. While the remainder of the group continue north to the Temple of the Gods with Elana (known as Tillie earlier. While Braidon is trained in magic Devon and Kellian travel back to the Citadel to rescue Alana only to find a surprise awaiting them.

Although well written (thus 3 stars), I didn't like it at all.
After becoming sympathetic with Alana's plight during the first book, I hated her in the second. I realize this was written to portray a split personality, but I don't care to read any more and won't. Nothing she can do will redeem her in my eyes.

Can't wait for the next book, read this and be ready also
Well written, twists and great character development make this a really good sequel. The recent developments are mind boggling and as in life its somewhat hard to tell the good guys from the bad. I am looking forward the the rest of the series.

ThenThree Nations Saga Goes On
Oh I was not ready for the twists of plot in this one. The surprise good and evil. And now I'm still left trying to figure out who is going to lead them all to victory.
