The Gloriously Gluten-Free Cookbook: Spicing Up Life with Italian, Asian, and Mexican Recipes

This is a keeper!
Every recipe I have tried in this cookbook has been delicious. Most have been better than the gluten-filled ones they replace. Mexican, Italian, and Chinese, all in one cookbook! The empanadas had so much authentic flavor, as did the beef enchiladas that my family had trouble stopping with their normal serving size. The eggplant rollatini (with the marinara sauce) had a great cheese filling that I will use in many other recipes. And the Chinese recipes are also stellar. The chicken and broccoli in peanut sauce is not only delicious, it is fast! I can't end this review without mentioning the watermelon and halloumi cheese salad with citrus-mint dressing: it is the most refreshing summer treat you can make...just wonderful! The author also manages to use gluten-free beers in many of her recipes with outstanding results. When you eat this food, you don't miss gluten.

Delicious Food for Everybody!
I bought this book because I was preparing a meal plan for my Burning Man camp and one of my friends has Celiacs. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy each recipe was to follow as well as how delicious they all are! I made dishes ranging from the Spinach Goat Cheese Risotto to lasagna and enchiladas. Each dish froze and reheated really well. All my campmates raved how great the food was. I will definitely be using this book a lot in the future and bought a copy for my friend with Celiacs.

Good book
This is a good book for helping people who need to go gluten free because of Celiac Disease. The meals we have cooked so far are really great tasting, however, there doesn't appear to be many "heart-healthy" meals in the book. The second thing we find about the meals is that many of the ingredients are expensive. But, being new to Celiac, perhaps living gluten-free is not inexpensive. Perhaps things will change in the future.

Deliciously gluten-free
I was recently diagnosed gluten-free and immediately purchased four cookbooks. This is, by far, my favorite of the four. The dishes are simple, but elegant, and they taste delicious. The portabello risotto with goat cheese cream has become a staple in my house. I highly recommend this cookbook to gluten-free and gluten eaters alike. It would make an excellent gift for any family members who have recently been diagnosed or family members of the recenlty diagnosed.

rural access
Living in an isolated rural area in Australia I dont have access to bookshops so the internet speed, selection available & quick delivery was great. The book gave up to date information on Gluten intolerance for someone newly diagnosed, plus tasty recipes that relate well to the Australian lifestyle & taste. Comments from friends who have recently dined with me have reinforced my confidence in using this book as a base for not only my own diet but one I can share with visitors.

Excellent Cook Book
If you have friends or family members who cannot eat wheat products, this cookbook will expand you cooking experiences. There is nothing to be afraid of, just follow the recipes and use the right ingredients and you will produce excellent dishes that will amaze even the best of cooks. So get into the kitchen, bang some pots and have fun while learning how to cook new cuisine.

great new book
It's nice to have a recipe book that is totally gluten free, and features spicy flavorful food. Many of the recipes involve breading, frying or sauces that are normally difficult to make gluten free without guidance. She does not shy away from spices, but uses common ingredients and straight forward instructions.

Great introduction to G-free cooking!
Got this for my boyfriend who's new to gluten free living due to allergies. We find the recipes to be manageable for normally skilled people (This books is NOT filled with recipes 20 ingredients long and complex to make!) and the descriptions of g-free brands and suggested staple food items are a great help. If you're a regular person looking for a little challenge, this book is great. :-)

Americano
This is a good recipe book for coeliacs. I'm not a fan of spicy foods but there is enough variety in this book that I don't regret the purchase. I like how you're told how long the sauces keep in the fridge or freezer. Make sure to use the look inside feature on this website to check the layout of the book. Now the things I don't like:- the measurements are in cups as it is an american cookery book, so you will need to convert the measurements;- the book starts off with stories about coeliac disease diagnosis, etc. If you weren't already familiar with coeliac disease you wouldn't buy the book in the first place. However, this is a downfall I've found in every coeliac cookbook I've bought (I've got around 10 now).

Interesting recipes
I bought this book when I was holding a dinner party for friends who needed gluten free food. I was able to shop for all he ingredients, nothing difficult to find. I was pleased with the results and the recipes are easy to follow.
