I was excited for a long time for my flute to arrive, however when it did I did not find myself to be the Kenny G on this flute that I was anticipating. Although my kids think it’s fun I would rather have not spent the money

The Let's Pretend Whistle
The metal slide whistle I ordered from Amazon was purchased by my radio drama company, The Midnight Mystery Players, for two performances of Let's Pretend, a classic children's program from radio's golden age. The slidewhistle was utilized in the original to let listeners know when magic was occurring: when listeners were goingon a trip to the magic land of Grimm or Hans Christian Anderson, or when a character appeared or moved rapidly to another place in the story. In "Beauty and the Beast," the whistle told listeners when the beast turned into ahandsome prince.

Great metal slide whistle
The media could not be loaded. Sound quality is very good. Slide is very smooth. Feels nice in your hands. Heavy enough thar it stays in place and does not feel like it's going to slide out of you hands.

The Whiley Coyote had a lot of Acme... this one a good noisemaker, but not a musical instrument, movement jerky!
This had no real book or other stuff, it is a "Toy" but, might be fun for some kids, I'm a kid at heart, "stress relief"Pay your money, take your choice, I love things that make great noises, my fave noise maker, a Tibet Chime, Nat Geo. nice long chime when hit with the wood stick.. makes me want to say "OHM-m-m-m-m-m" - Wife did percussion in band as a kid, so we enjoy stuff like absurd sounds..

Lots of fun!
I spend a lot of time at "open-mic" nights, and was looking for something unusual... this did the trick!I actually got to spend some time in a studio adding some whacky backings to some tunes. It was a blast!

no complaints
I don't have other slide-whistles to compare this to, but it seems solidly built -- it survived airport luggage and a camping trip. Sounds nice & slides pretty smoothly.

the kids love it.
I put this whistle in my kids stockings. They love to play them and surprisingly enough, it's not annoying. The sound is not shrilling,but more mellow so it's easy on our ears. It's a nice addition to the kids instrument collection.
