Gilmour 996 Pattern Master Pulsating Sprinkler

Love that I'm able to set a pattern and adjust distance. Very full spray puts out good quantity of water in short time. I bought 2 of these. I've used a rainbird brand one for many years. These aren't as heavy and can slid around under the water pressure. A landscaping staple holds them well. Both have issues. The first one got stuck in one position after a few minutes of rotation. I took it apart and discovered a "rubber" washer was used on the center post where the head made contact. Replace it with a nylon one and the problem was corrected. The second one will move the stop ring after a few minutes and change the arch to wider. Not very nice having to go out continually to readjust it. I contacted Gilmour/Fiskar over 2 weeks ago but have not received a reply. Still waiting. Minus these issues they are very good units.

I’ve been moving a sprinkler around five times each watering day for seven seasons. That’s just my backyard. It’s so time consuming! I just got this Gilmour pattern master and now I can set it and forget it. Amazing. It’s the end of the season here in Colorado but I played with it today and it works as advertised. I set it to miss my patio and veggie garden and I’m so impressed. I can’t wait to have an easier watering plan next year. I can’t speak to durability but I found it to be very stable even though it’s lightweight. Highly recommend!

I like everything of this product, and would like Gilmour to produce a similar one with lower range for small areas.It allows a custom coverage for irregular lawns, and helps reaching corners in squares. Even accelerates rotation when covering small areas and slows down in larger ones, helping to match the amount of water per square foot in both. Overall, a very well thought sprinkler. Lets see about durability.

I went through several sprinklers until I found this one. My yard would never get completely watered due to the odd shape. Either I had to waste water or miss part of the yard. With this sprinkler it adjusts to the shape and goes farther or shorter to not waste water. It is so easy to use after I figured it out! I bought a second one for my backyard!

Disappointing. While the product is good, I paid more than twice as much for this as I did for the "medium duty" Pattern Master sprinkler and I can't tell any difference. A better description and specs might have saved me some money. This is one of those occasions where it is better to see in person what you are buying.

I've used this model for many years. The angular distribution of the spray and the length of the spray stream "tune" easily to unusually shaped yards. If left outside in the sun for a few seasons the plastic will age - Taking in it between uses greatly extends service life.

adjustments not working as expected.

This thing works great. I really like that you can adjust the pitch of the sprinkler head to water odd shape areas.
