Wow. This is a big spoon rest. Another review said it could probably be used as a small skillet. Maybe so. Here are some dimensions. The width of the brim is 5.5 inches. The length of the brim (the oval part) is about 7.375". The total length, including the "handle", is 10.375 inches. The depth of the spoon rest is 0.75 inches.I didn't have much trouble with the paper stickers on both the top and bottom of the spoon rest, but I've had experience with difficult-to-remove stickers, so already knew the kinds of things to do to take care of them. Here is what I did. First, I warmed the spoon rest. Stickers come off much more easily if the surface onto which they are applied is warmed. I'd guess I warmed the spoon rest to maybe about 110°F by placing it in close proximity to my grill while I was grilling some steaks. If you're not grilling, you might use a hair dryer to warm the spoon rest. When mine was toasty warm (but not so hot it was difficult to handle), both stickers came off quite readily. However, after the stickers were removed, I could still see a very, very light residue where the stickers had been, which I knew my wife wouldn't like. Washing the spoon rest with dishwashing solution and scrubbing it with a green dish scrubber didn't remove the residue. I got out my Goo Gone, applied a couple of drops to each side of the spoon rest where the light residue of each sticker was located, and scrubbed lightly with the green dish scrubber, then washed again with dishwashing solution (to remove the Goo Gone). That took care of the bit of sticker residue.Anyway, if you warm the spoon rest, remove the stickers, and then clean with Goo Gone (or comparable goo remover), and then clean with dishwashing solution (to remove the Goo Gone), the spoon rest will be lovely enough for even a very discerning wife. :-)

I literally snorted when I saw how massive this spoon rest is. I just had *no* inkling.However, I will be working in a large area (not my kitchen) and using the spoon rest for my non-food creations. Instead of sending it back, I decided to keep it as during my preparation I will be using a spatula, SS spoon, and a silicone spoon, which will surely all fit fine together.As for the sticker problem, I’m going to soak the spoon for several hours in hot soapy water and attempt to get off. Another user says to get the final sticky goo off by spraying lightly with oil, so I’ll try that tip too.UPDATE: It’s been a couple years since I bought the large spoon rest. I absolutely love it! It has gone through the dishwasher countless times and still looks brand new. The other day, I received the spatula rest. Holy moly! I’m impressed with the durability, sleek look, and just how practical it is to use. Now I’m considering buying some for Christmas gifts!

I must have read the reviews of every spoon-rest on Amazon, and ended up buying this one. We liked it well enough that we bought 2 more. Not only is this a good spoon rest, we bought two more as sponge dish for kitchen sinks. The design is more space efficient than any other, as it is rectangular, with most of the surface flat, so most of the surface is usable. We liked the tray shape with the loop handle at the end. We can place rest two medium sized spatulas on it at the same time. The product is heavy and solid, very substantial. It looks good near our stainless steel sinks, faucets, cooktops, etc.Now, for the annoying huge sticker. Yes, it was designed to annoy. I first used a razor blade to help remove the sticker. That took 3-4 minutes and got rid of 99% of the paper, leaving small amount of sticky gunk. I think scrubbing with detergent would have removed the rest of the sticky gunk. However, I simply sprayed a bit of automotive bug tar remover on the plate, and the gunk came off easily. The total time to scrape off the sticker and wipe away the gunk was less than 10 minutes for two of these spoon-rests.BTW, after reading the reviews of just about every sink sponge tray/dish on Amazon, we did not buy any of them and bought two of these instead. I feel this product is more solid than any of the sponge dishes and the simple lines are more elegant.Update: I bought my 4th one in January.

I love cooking and enjoy keeping my cooking area clean as I am preparing the food. The average size spoon rest is fine if you are just making one item but if one is preparing an entire meal it just doesn't do the trick. I discovered this spoon rest while on vacation at a beach house and loved it! You don't feel like you need to balance your spoon or spatula in order for it to not fall onto the counter. I ordered one of these for our own home and am very pleased!

whoooooe, this spoon rest arrived today. I had been a little worried about the large size but decided to order it and give it a try. I love, love, love it. So classy looking, well made, and my ladles, spatulas and large spoons fit without my having to be careful about placing them on the spoon rest in order to ensure they don't fall off or hang over and drip. I hate wrestling with a spoon or spatula while trying to cook. Saw some comments regarding sticker placement and how difficult it was to remove sticky stickers. No problem, I followed a suggestion given: heat sticker with hair dryer, get it hot, spray on some goo gone and sticker peels right off...didn't even have to use a scrub pad......I have hunch I will be getting lots of compliments on this spoon rest and will be ordering more of these for hostess gifts, etc.

I LOVE THIS!!!! It is so well made, it is from one piece of metal, well balanced, it does not move unless you move it.It feels great and washes up well.The utensils fit perfectly, and I won't worry that it might melt. I am going to order another for my other counter, and possibly one for my daughter.It will not break nor crack and it is understated on the counter.Oh, and lucky me, no stickers to deal with, they should do that with most kitchen products, place the stickers on the tags.UPDATE!!! I ordered 2 more of these for myself and my daughter.They exceed my expectations. All of my spoons and cutlery fit and they do not stain..They are so easy to clean, they will never burn or beak and they truly are so nice to look at. Great product.!!!

Looks great on my black and stainless stove.

Love that I can put more than one thing on this and also that it is metal and won't melt if I put a hot pot near it. Sturdy and looks like it will last a long time. Low enough profile that I can tuck it under the cutting board when not in use.
