Product game is described and worked well for putting new serving string on crossbow.

There are more expensive models of string servers but the Bohning Serve-tite is an excellent value for the price. The novice can use it with satisfaction of their work and with a little experience the end results would be mistaken to be produced by the much more expensive string servers.

I have two main issues with this jig, the first being that it is made of cheap plastic (feels cheap and easy to break). The second is that the wing nut that is used to hold tension on the spool is too easy to bump and knock loose while serving a string. I am testing to see if replacing this with a lock nut (teflon topped) to see if I can get it to hold while serving. Over all I am much happier with the BCY jig I recently received.

Save your money and buy a different jig. It’s next to impossible to get the tension correct, it’s all or nothing with this thing in the worst way. I did notice it scraping the serving material quite hard (hard enough to show signs of wear) because of the way you thread it through the jig. Worst jig out there!

This was a big disappointment. It allows the spool to wobble that then causes the line to feed in a jerky manner. It goes from being too tight to the super too loose on the string. the eyelet that the line feeds through is way to large which makes sloppy servings. I will be giving it away to the first poor soul that just can not get anything better for the time being.

Da bei mir schon mehrmals die Wicklung aufgegangen ist und die im Geschäft mir jedes mal eine neue Sehne andrehen wollten, habe ich mich entschlossen es mal selbst zu Probieren und eine neue Wicklung drauf zu machen.Von der Qualität her ist es in Ordnung. Das Gewinde auf dem Stab/in der Flügelmutter ist etwas krumm. Somit greift immer nur eine Stelle der Kante von der Flügelmutter. Daher auch einen Stern abzug.Das hat aber keinen Einfluss auf die Funktionsfähigkeit.Der andere Stern abzug, weil lediglich 4 Bilder dabei sind, wie der Faden durch die Ösen zu ziehen ist.Es dauert zwar etwas, aber man kann die Bilder entschlüsseln und den Faden anhand dieser einbringen.Weiterhin könnte man eine kleine Anleitung dazulegen, wie man das Gerät dann nutzt.Ich habe mir hierzu alles übers Internet zusammensuchen müssen.Ich habe damit nun schon 4 Sehnen eine neue Wicklung gegeben, was einwandfrei geklappt hat und auch lange gehalten hat.
