My kite is amazing. I highly recommend it as a trainer kite or for land riding. The quality is amazing and I could not be happier with it. I recommend spending the extra money and getting this kite instead of other cheaper ones it allows you to train in the water which is very important.

I am amazed at how the Hydra 350 flies and pulls.The lines came attached and rolled out easy with no knots or kinks. The wrist strap felt strong and using the third line to depower the kite is an instant confidence builder. The bar felt comfortable even after 2+ hours of flying in 15+mph gusts. I had a bit of trouble launching the kite at first, but quickly picked up the third string reverse launch, which is one of the coolest things to perform in the world! In-flight control was a bit off at first, maybe that's why I smashed it into the ground so many times... 8-) I dropped the third string to the last knot on the kite attach point and this helped me a lot. I smashed this kite into a hard grass field multiple times at full speed and thought, this is it, each time. I would give the third string a little pull and the kite would turn and be ready for another go, with zero damage! I also did a couple of low pass high speed wing drags that I thought would have ripped the side off! During inspection of those areas when packing it up -- zero scuffs, snags, or tears. I will update after more use. So far, I love this kite!Update 11/22/14I have 20+ hours flying this kite and have loved every minute on it. I even let my girlfriend fly it (not recommended!) and it came through with no tears or holes, which shocked me after watching her smash the hell out of it. I have flown it in 30mph gusts and things got a bit scary, but the third line is always effective at depowering the kite and bringing things under control. After some stall flips, could see that my lines were twisted, so I disconnected the lines and untwisted them. Be sure to do this occasionally so the lines slide nice during spin maneuvers. This kite has exceeded all my expectations and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to learn power kites or kiteboarding.

I bought it as a trainer kite for my teen kids. It works great! 3.5 is powerful when it’s a little windy. We have used it to pull us on kayaks and paddle boards. It flys good.

As advertised. I’ve been enjoying learning to fly and control this type of kite. I’m looking forward to warm enough weather to take it on the water and try dragging.

This is a great kite and the best place to start kiteboarding! Powerful and fun to get to know the "window". I think it's more challenging than the bigger kites and is a full body workout if you want it to be. Smaller kite is a bonus and a lot of fun as well. Highly recommend both.

This kite is fun to fly!! I have another large kite without the cut off feature and it is much less easy. I would definitely order again. Better buff up on your arm muscles for a windy day!
