Works well with just water, but GREAT with a cleaner. I spray on a degreaser and let it sit for 5 minutes, sprinkle on a little Bar Keepers Friend and scrub. Clean it off, rinse it off with a microfiber cloth, dry it with a clean cloth and it is clean.

Does the job - gentle yet durable. Much better than a razor! These sponges are well made and a little goes a long way. Long lasting product.

I ordered these Scotch-Brite Cooktop Pads because I was fed up with the stubborn stains on my old stovetop. I hate having to clean with a cream cleaner because it takes forever to wipe all of it out and I'm usually not satisfied with the results because I'm always left with a dull film on the cooktop surface. So, when I heard about these sponges that cleaned using only water, I had to give them a try. At first glance, these sponges look like any other cleaning sponge, but they have a micro-texture scrubbing side that scrubs without scratching the cooktop. The sponges are about 1 inch thick and are about 5.75 inches from tip to tip. ~~~~~~~~ How To Use ~~~~~~~~ 1- First, you need to sprinkle a small amount of water onto your stovetop surface. (I use a misting water bottle) 2 - Then, using the textured side of the sponge, scrub the surface and work your way through the burnt-on food. 3 - Once the job is done, you just need to wipe your cooktop with a clean cloth or a paper towel. 4 - The sponge can then be rinsed off with water (or it can also be thrown into the dishwasher since they are dishwasher safe) I consistently get great results with these pads. Like any other burnt-on food cleaning method, you DO need some elbow grease. Expecting this to take 2 seconds without any effort is just not realistic. What I especially like about using these, is that they don't create a mess like cream cleaners do. I don't have to scrape off dried-up cream residue from the cracks of my cooktop. This is by far my favorite tool to clean my glass stovetop. The sponges are sturdy. They last for a long time. Good purchase. Would recommend.
