The Last of Us: American Dreams Paperback – October 29, 2013

Got this as a Christmas present for my boyfriend, who is obsessed with the TLOU video game and tv show. He had no idea this comic even existed, and was so excited to read it! It’s a prequel from before the video games AND before the show, so for anyone looking to gift someone else or themself some new content, this is a great choice!!

I've been completely obsessed with The Last of Us, the characters, the incredible story, the stories within the story. The games were basically my first real experience with good interactive storytelling. This book is another little dose of what I can't seem to get enough of. I enjoyed it very. I love the games and I love comics so...yeah. I want more games, of course, but I'd also like to see more comics like this one.

This is a great comic! It's short but is great the whole time through, I guess you could say quality over quantity. The story and characters are mostly reacurring from the game but that's okay because they stay great. The art style is awesome, it looks kinda like Scott Pilgrim but still not too silly considering the subject matter. I would ha e rather the story have been something else since we have already seen something similar in the DLC for the Last of Us, like maybe it could be about Henry and Sam, or Bill and Trevor. And I do wish it was longer though and hopefully some day we can get a volume 2 considering the 1 on the spine. Sadly I am left wanting more when will will probably never get more. Over all a great read for a Last of Us fan.

Honestly I am a big big big fan of the Last of us! And this gives some great lore to the series. Highly recommend getting this for any die hard last of us fan!

This was so insightful and a cool fleshing out of Ellie's "The Last of Us" story. It answered some questions that I had and even some that I didn't think to ask. I also LOVED the art style. Very fitting with the art we see on cartoon media we actually see in the game itself!

I bought new and it came used with creases and rips in the front and back cover. Pretty disappointed
