Friggin awesome product for those who do not need to dye their hair just yet - or are cautious about the toxins in dye. I use this product to darken a small portion of my beard stubble, my eyebrows and my sideburns. It is a powder, so if you put in too much or the color is too dark, you can simply brush with the round brush and even it out or lessen its impact until you have what you like - very much UNLIKE A DYE. You can touch it across the surface of your stubble and get just the right effect - and it actually alters the color of your stubble - very much UNLIKE A DYE. I use the round brush, scrape it lightly across the powder and twirl it just a bit, then brush that lightly and repeatedly across my stubble, 1 or 2 applications turns stark grey into a brown, brown grey or blend as you feel comfortable with. For longer hair, I wet the applicator brush and dab it into my sideburns, then distribute it across the hair with the round brush. Very effective, and very natural looking. This powder is for altering your beard stubble and sideburns. It is not a hair dye - so those negative reviews complaining about it not dying their entire 2 and 3 inch beards and running out of the product in a couple weeks - ??? You are using the wrong product. Go get a hair dye... Used this for an active day in the sun, a ballgame and a hike - and NOTHING came off, there was no yellowing, nothing got onto my shirt or ran out with my sweat. Very pleased!

I’ve been using this product for going on 6 years and the only reason is because of all the bad reviews I've read on other products.......however......what TYLB advertises is not even close to the truth. Is it easy to use?.......kinda........you have to learn how to work it. Does it take 90 seconds....absolutely not....it will take you at least 5 to 10 minutes to do a whole beard. You will have to reapply it every day because this stuff rubs off on your clothes and anything else you rub up against......the next morning you will be a shade or two lighter. Also, one container does not come any where near lasting 6 months.......more like a month if you’re applying it everyday. I’m not sure where they’ve come up with this information unless it was tested on a guy who had no more than 3 hairs on his chin. Lastly, by the looks of the picture the container it comes in looks much larger....you think you’re getting something about the size of a kiwi shoe polish container, but what you wind up with is something about the size of 5 quarters stacked on top of each other. Needless to say.......I’d love to find something else I can trust.

Been using for a week...it does work, but does take longer than 90 seconds to cover an entire beard. You have to go over your beard several times to get out the grey, but eventually it does do that. I got the medium brown....if I order again I would probably get the "dark brown"... Once you get it right, it does stay on all day....does not irritate. It is a process when you do it. I would have liked a quicker delivery - 3-5 day would be more reasonable.

Don’t waste your money. It darkens the skin more than the hair ! Looks fake, and it takes forever to apply to a full beard. And don’t try it on eyebrows guys, it looks like you used your wife/girlfriends eyebrow pencil because it stains skin not the hair. The YOUTUBE video leads you to believe it’s quick to apply! I test products for a blog and this one fails miserably!

I started using the dark brown color, (see my review there), then switched to medium brown which is perfect. I dont put it on so thick that all the grey is covered up so it looks really natural. A month ago i started putting beard oil on before applying TYLB and what a difference. It goes on and blends in easier, and it stays on a lot longer. Without it the colorant starts to fade slightly as the day goes on, but with the beard oil it pretty much stays on until you wash it out. I highly recommend using the oil first.

Simple and effective for short beards and mustaches. I can brush in the color and it will remain the whole day and night. It doesn’t rub off on my clothes or sweat off during the day. I can add enough color to cover as much of the gray as I want, giving it a true look. I keep my beard and mustache neatly trimmed, so the product goes a long ways and lasts me a couple of months. The longer and more full the beard, the more product you’ll use.

Here’s a neat trick I use for stubble... Add a small drop of water to the container and lightly stir to make a moist paste. Then use the brush to apply a light coating of the wet paste on your finger tips, and then carefully run fingers across stubble being careful not to touch your skin. Repeat a few times until all stubble is covered. Dries quickly, lasts long and works perfectly! You’ll look just like you haven’t shaved for a couple days. 😀
