Amazing product, works incredibly well
See my before and after photos. I used Plastx on our very old 2009 Honda CRV. The headlight assemblies were yellowed and cloudy like you typically see on old cars that have been outside a lot. However, with a simple application of this product, the cloudiness and yellowing have basically disappeared! The clarity of the headlights is incredible to see. To be fair, it isn’t a perfect restoration. It won’t touch deep scratches and pitting like from rocks and debris that have left marks in the plastic, and it appears that there is some cloudiness to the INTERIOR surface of the plastic headlight assembly, so of course this won’t fix that. Even so, this product performs as described, and I’m quite impressed. For such a small time and money investment, you get mega improvement for your old headlamps. 100% worth it; 100% recommended. The look of the car is much nicer, and the effect on road illumination while driving with the lights on is better too. Note: this is not a long term fix on its own. I have done this twice now, once about 16 months ago, and again now in 3/2023. Since my initial use, the cloudiness and yellowing have returned. Still, another application of the product clears it right up. To preserve the clarity, you do need the clear coat spray, also offered by Maguire’s. I got the clear coat protector this time around, which will maintain the restored look for about a year according to the label.

Works perfect on my lights 4 my car

Not just for car headlights.
I bought this product with the intention of using it on the tail lights of a vintage car which had become dull from exposure to the sun and elements. I've used other Meguire's products in the past on my cars and had good results plus this product was reasonably priced so I thought I'd give it a shot. A little goes a long way, just put a small amount on a soft clean cloth, the manufacturer recommends a micro fiber towel or terry cloth. Then just buff the plastic with it, I used two applications, but one seemed to work fine, it didn't get too much clearer with the second one. I did notice that it gets a little hard to remove when it gets drier, so wipe it off before then. Also, after I was finished, I did notice that there were still some very tiny dots stuck to the plastic, sort of like what you'd see on a car that doesn't get cleaned and waxed enough. Not a big deal at all, they are not really noticeable unless you really look for them. Not sure if further buffing would have removed them, but didn't think it was worth the extra effort, as I said, not really noticeable at all. In a second trial I used this stuff on some solar lights in my garden. Again the plastic panels on the lights had become dull from exposure, but unlike the car, these were severely dulled to the point where you could barely see the little wires under the plastic. I did three passes with this stuff, although again, most of the progress was made in the first pass. The end result was decent, the little panels looked much clearer than before although no where near as clear as new. Not sure if further buffing would get it any clearer or if those things are just too far gone (and not the greatest quality to begin with). There is a dull sheen to the panels now, where as when new they were very glossy and clear, but some of the yellowing seems to be gone and you can see the wires underneath quite clearly now. Maybe if they'd been polished at an earlier stage of damage they would have ended up better now. To conclude, I'd say that this is a good product, it performed well. I was hoping it would work a little better on the solar panels, but as I said those are cheap quality plastic so it's to be expected. This product is probably best suited to light to medium damage and dullness, not severe. Didn't compare it to any other product so not sure if it's the best, but worked well enough for me. If you don't have any plastic polish this is a good one to add to your box of cleaners as it's proven to me that it's good for shining up just about any dull plastic not just headlights.

The Easiest and Most Effective Cleaner I Have Tried
I have used several different plastic polishes over the years. Most did the job, but the time and elbow grease required varied significantly. I have applied and polished the lenses both my hand, when the housing didn't lend itself to easy access with my buffer, and with the buffer. Cars, in the old days universally had glass sealed beam headlights. Replace the headlight you replaced the lens. For the past 30, or so, years cars have migrated to halogen bulb headlights, HID or most recently LED. Though a few have glass faced housings, most are plastic. These tend to fog and yellow over the years. Since this cuts down the light they emit, and many state's safety inspections will fail them if they get bad enough, you either have to replace them or fix them. Headlight assemblies can cost a small fortune, especially if purchased from the dealer. So, fixing them is an attractive option. There are many polishing kits on the market of varying complexity. But, I find I don't need most of the pads and accessories provided, and you usually get a very small quantity of polishing solution. They also seem costly for what you are getting. So, I choose this route, buy the polish and provide my own accessories. This Meguiar's polish is provided in a generous quantity and performed astonishingly well as compared to others I have used. My wife's Suzuki SX4 headlight housings were getting quite foggy. It literally took me several minutes each side to get them back to 95% of their original clarity using soft paper towels. The electric buffer, had I hauled it out, would have taken a single pass. This bottle will go in my car cleaning and maintenance fluids box I always carry. Because it is so easy and fast to use I will make a point of touching up the various plastic lenses around all of my cars regularly. I am quite satisfied. This polish easily gets five stars.

It's ok but the old system was better.
Mcguire used to have a two part system for cleaning clear plastic it worked much better. Although this one works ok, it just doesn't work as good. Just like anything these days , let's make it cheaper. I mean, it's a better price then the 2 part A and B bottles, if I remember right it was more expensive , but you get what you pay for and when you're trying to make something look better , I'd rather spend a little more money and have it work better. So I hope mr. McGuire's if you read this , just make the 2 part system again!

Significant Scratches in Plexiglass Windshield
I have a Can-Am Spyder motorcycle. I JUST purchased and installed a new windshield that was not an inexpensive upgrade to this bike. As it happened, I large rock hit my plexiglass windshield at about 70mph and caused three major scratches. Distressed of course as this was brand new and then this happened. The new windsheild did its job however, and that is why its on the bike to begin with. I caught a glimpse of the rock and it was about 3 inches wide and hat that hit me, definitely would have caused a significant injury with the force at which it hit. Its has taken some effort, but it this product was quite amazing. The abrasive used is not too harsh so it did not cloud the plexiglass at all. Each time I used it, it wiped off easily and completely and I could see a difference in getting the scratches removed. The scratches are getting removed more and more as I use the product, wipe it off and repeat the process. The area around the scratches is also highly polished and I am thinking that I will use it to take care of even the smallest nick. Have always trusted Mequiars products and this one is no exception, especially for the price. I am VERY picky about that bike and what I use on it. This is a product that I will keep for this appliction. I am a huge fan of 3M products as well and that is my standard for judgement. Quite honestly, the 3M product I used for this application, which is also amazing...just got retired in favor of this product. As well, that rock also hit my fender before slamming into my windshield. Used this same product. Scratches on the fender are gone, like they were never there. Of course, you might want to try a very small area in an inconspiquous place, which you should do with any product that removes scratches, but I would wager you will find this is a fabulous product and will not harm or mar your plastic painted surfaces where the color is mixed in or on your plexiglass/plastics.

Fixed my instrument cluster mystery blemish
I want to say miraculous. Had a mysterious blemish appear on my Honda instrument cluster lens (speedometer clear acrylic). It appeared after a wipe with a new microfiber, and I thought it was a permanent stain…wouldn’t rub off with fingernail like grease. I’ve had these on other cars that were similar. I came across PlastX (I’ve used Plexus in the past), this is much more affordable. Anyway it was like a miracle: on a clean microfiber, added a dime sized blob and scrubbed for 5 seconds. Then dried with clean microfiber. Poof! Looks like new. Then I used it for some light residue on my headlights and hood badge. Worked pretty well, although I might consider a pad/drill polisher setup for more buffing capability. It definitely removed perhaps 50% of residue with a quick hand polish.

A pictures speaks 1000 words
What can I say, at INR 2000 this is not a small investment. But when you have car OCD, you gotta do it. Meguiar's is a trusted brand they say, and I trust it now. Although, you have to follow the instructions and your arm is gonna complain for a good 30 minutes after you are done. Great quality, easy to clean, and can be used on other clear plastic surfaceds, so versatile. The product is gooey and thick, don't dilute it for best results. Hervorragend für Kunststoff-Scheinwerfer! UND UM DVDs ZU RETTEN!
Was kann PlastX?
